This video has been making the rounds lately, and we held off for a little bit, trying to debate whether or not this is newsworthy.
But is Friday after all, and this video is evidence that while Transformers Dark of the Moon Director Michael Bay did reuse some highway chase scenes that included a Dodge Magnum getting ripped in half from his 2005 film The Island, is really shows what some clever editing and work from the always fantastic Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) can really do for a scene that fit into the context of the film regardless.
Sure raw video is the same - at least from the first scene - but we get a completely different experience.
Also, according to Box Office Mojo, the film came $5 million under the $200 million that Transformers Revenge of the Fallen cost, so the film maybe would up saving some money by not ripping up another cars.
