NIGHTWATCH OPTIMUS PRIME and DEEP DESERT BRAWL bring the power of the AllSpark to the leader class in 2008. These awesome figures feature dramatically new deco with AllSpark blue highlights.
DEEP DESERT BRAWL
Saturated with power from the AllSpark and freed from the influence of MEGATRON, DECEPTICON BRAWL disappeared into the rugged land around the Hoover Dam. Making his way over the course of months to the most troubled spot on Earth, he adapted his vehicle mode to the new environment, went to ground and waited. Hiding in the deep desert, he soaks up energy from the blazing sun, and emerges only to satisfy his hunger for destruction by attacking and annihilating human convoys and armored columns. He is a ghost in the desert, attacking randomly and without reason, and disappearing before human air power can arrive to track him. To those living in the region, he is a myth, but to those few who survive his attacks he is a monster.

NIGHTWATCH OPTIMUS PRIME
OPTIMUS PRIME prefers a straight forward battle, in which opponents can look one another in the eye and know that what they do is for real and forever, as adversaries should. When fighting an enemy like the DECEPTICONS however, he knows that more subtle tactics are often called for. Using the new powers granted him by the infusion of AllSpark energy, he is ready for even the stealthiest mission. The darker colors are sensor transparent, letting him slip in unseen, often even directly under the eyes of DECEPTICON guards. New servos in his joints move him silently across the ground, and AllSpark powered punches let him take out enemy troops without a single pulse from his Ion Blaster.

I kinda like Brawl/"Devastator's" repaint, but not Prime's. Why couldn't they give this paint to the Voyager-class and give the "First Strike" paint to the Leader-class?

Not to offend anyone, buuut......does Brawl's color scheme make anyone else think of Native American jewelry or something? Seriously. I mean he's still cool, but that's just what I think, every time I see him! Prime seems to get bluer and bluer every time I see him. The first time I saw him, I swear he had a lot more white and not that much aqua. They are both nice repaints, but at the Leader class price range...I'm gonna wait and see, despite the fact I've pretty much been a completist with this line so far. I'm still crossing my fingers for a Leader Blackout and a Voyager (at the least) Bonecrusher!

I really can't stand this "allspark power" shit tey're putting all over these figures it looks so horrible. Makes me glad I was in the UK start of October because I managed to pick up the UK version of Nightwatch Prime.
I hope they realise it just looks crap and decide to make something better..........For example, the remaining classics seekers!!!!! Even if Botcon own the mods to those figs I'm sure they'd make enough money from seling these figures to justify making new and slightly differet molds for the wings.
DO IT ALREADY HASBRO! STOP PISSING OFF YOUR FANS AND MAKE WHAT WE REALLY wANT!
Besides there's a huge difference between repainting a deluxe and a leader class figure. Do the math, you sell more deluxes.

Do we really need yet another variation of either of these toys? That's so last year...and the year before...and the year before...
