Box Office Actuals: Potter Down, ''Transformers'' Up

The weekend box office actuals are in and "Transformers" fared a smidgen better against the wizards in "Harry Potter & The Order of the Phoenix" than studio estimates released on Sunday.

"Transformers" was down 47% versus the studio-predicted 49% by taking in just a little under $37.1 Million in weekend actuals, up $1.1 Million than predicted. Meanwhile, "Harry Potter"'s fifth installment took in $300,000 less than estimated.

That puts "The Order of the Phoenix" $6 below the $18,000 per screen threshold at $17,994, just $519 more per screen average in its first weekend debut when compared to "Transformers"' first weekend performance.

Meanwhile, "Transformers" continues its domination in the foreign box office including the Asia region, giving it an accumulated $370.7 Million in worldwide ticket sales.
