The lead Transformer TakaraTomy designer Hideaki Yoke could not attend this years BotCON due to the conflicting events of Tokyo Toy Fair 2007 but Shogo Hasui who was one of the key designer for the Transformers Movie toys designed the characters such as Starscream, Ratchet and Jazz. He also designed Classic Starscream and said he was fortunate to attend this year's Botcon so he could have all the Jetrons. TFormers got a little chance to talk to him.

Hasui-san started with Takara designing for Beast Machines toys, the Tank Drones being one of them. For Galaxy Force, he designed Exillion, Exigyser, Flame Convoy and Fang Wolf to name a few. When asked about what would be one of his major projects for the future, he told TFormers that he is to be the toy designer for the Optimus Prime/Convoy for the upcoming Transformers Animated series (Japanese title to be announced later).
