According to the same posting from Frank Welkers official website saying that he was not offered any role in the Transformers movie, Mr. Welker says he "thinks" Corey Burton (Justice League, Boondocks) will be playing the voice of Megatron in the upcoming "Transformers: Heroes" cartoon. Mr. Welker describes Mr. Burton as a, "wonderful voice talent and a great guy," and gives his full blessings.

Mr. Welker describes the show as, "a new series based on our old shows," and squashes any type of possiblity of Cullen and he being reunited in the cartoon. "[N]either Peter nor I were cast," comments Mr. Welker. He does not mention the cartoon by name, but he is thought to be referencing the new cartoon that is supposedly in development by Cartoon Network. This is another piece of information added to Tara Strong revealing that she will play the character of "Sari" in the upcoming show. Another rumor previously reported on is that David Kaye (Megatron from Beast Wars) will be playing Optimus Prime.
