First Look @ U.S. Version Masterpiece Starscream?

By bwbm on Thursday, May 31, 2007

A couple of images of what looks to be a U.S.-bound version of Masterpiece MP-03 Starscream have popped up over at ACToys. At first, members of the TFans community called is a really nice looking custom. However, it seems the constantly-reliable source "S250" has gone ahead and confirmed that this is indeed ready to hit the U.S. market, according to our "Heat Guy" of TFans. Is this really the first look that we are getting of the second Masterpiece figure to grace our shores? Only time will tell. Until then, feast your eyeson either a really great looking custom, or the real deal below:

Beautiful, but doesn't it seem strange that it doesn't have a sign in front of it or anything? I'm remaining cautiously optimistic about this.

Indeed. Caution is the word here. In today's market and such, I'll believe it when I see it in Wal-Mart. :)

The paint scheme does look nice, and it would be a welcome addition to the collection, much less, saving U.S. fans and collectors some money.

We shall see....

:)

Droooool...if this is indeed true: IT'S ABOUT TIME HASBRO!!! It's about time you give us, the fans, true transformer figures instead of that movie junk; if this figure is truly going to be released that is. If not, then bleh! However, I really like the paint app.; a lot better than the japanese release.

If this is truly going to be release, it's a nice treat for those that waited and didn't jump on the Japanese release of this figure.

I really like the trail of smoke residue coming out of this vents on the top of him. Makes it look like a more realistic plane on top of the realism it already has.

I will buy!!!!

I waited and didnt buy a full price japanese Starsgreen (i got it at wholsesake price) and Im looking forward to this version. I can even use my Japanese stickers with the USA version if possible...OR I can send the original sheets to reprolabels and get the fella there to invert them so they are black instead of white!

If this comes out, I will hate myself for getting the teal colored Japanese version. Aside from the big black burn mark down the jet mode, this is much better, and would surly cost me way less than the 120$ i spent for mine.

Except that it looks like a custom. If it was a Hasbro release, then why are the tail fins, midpeices for the folding joints for the wings and flaps, and the elbow and knee joins still the same color as the japanese release? Without higher res photos I'm sticking with custom on this one.

Dude.. its got detailing on the fins, which the japanese starscream doesnt have. I hope its official, but fix the paint apps abit, like the red shorts that he has, it doesnt work.

Hope this is true since I never bought the Japanease release, I didn't liked thoses colors.
But I wonder, if this ever grace its presence in our stores, will it have some improvement to it to be less fragile then its japanease conterpart?
I heard many story of braking parts with this mold.

Just like the rest of you guys. I want this too. I bought the other one and have him next to Prime and Megatron. But, he looks blend in comparsion to their colors. I'm hoping this is real. But, with all the customs I've seen, even on eBay you can buy that book on how to convert the Takara version into any of the seekers. I'll wait until I see him in box. Fingers are crossed.

I prefer japanese original MP. At least colors are serious . I don´t like Starscream colors. Always has been the less realistic one of the 3 seekers.

Looks great, but where's his hip packs? Doesn't he need those for alt mode?... (I assume they are removable and those ball joints at his hips are where they attach, though.)

Yes, the 'hip packs' are removable and can either be attached to the ball joints at the waist or with pegs near the ankles.

ShockwaveRider, I remember hearing about that a short time after SS was finally out on the market. But, I thought or read somewhere that he was going to be on a specific website, TF club or something. At least that's what I recall, if you wanted him in show colors. I've been tempted to buy an extra and paint it myself, but decided to just wait and see if an anime version would show up like most other fellas.

He's coming to Wal-Mart as an exclusive, from what I read.
