Masterpiece Starscream to be WalMart Exclusive

Just in is confirmation that Hasbro will in-fact be offering the Masterpiece Starcream figure as a WalMart exclusive. The item will sell for around $60 in November 2007. Stay tuned for more news and images to come from BotCon 2007. You can see images of the figure in this gallery.

Wonder why Hasbro didn't pull this out when Takara released their MP Screamer? Could've saved US Tfans about $60-$70.
Unless, of course, Hasbro's making this fogure with cheaper materials than Takara's version.

by vega-starscream on Friday, June 29, 2007 @ 06:44:00 PM | I don't like the idea of a Wal-Mart exclusive, I'v never seen any what-so-ever TF Wal-mart exclusive in my area (i'm leaving in Quebec Canada) and I have acesss at at leat 4 or 5 Wal-Mart, if its not more and also, never saw any Rumble or Ravage. One Retailer said to me that they usually only buy at canadian warehouses and that's mean no american stocks or maybe because of the fact that usually, exclusives are never on tri-language format boxes (english/french/spanish) like the regular TF lines that are available in canada and because of stupid laws here in quebec, french translation must be on the package. Either way its sucks for us here.
Yes I know, there's Ebay, but I don't like the idea of paying more then its worth from greedies scalpers. |

Fortunately, the WalMart in the town I work in seems to be a store that gets most of the 'exclusives', although I never saw Classics Devastator there. If you browse enough WalMarts and keep vigilance, you can eventually find them.
For instance, there has been 2 WalMarts within 50mi of me that have had literally sleeves of Devastators. Meanwhile, the vast majority of the other WalMarts have had zip... zero... nada. |

Classics starscream already seemed like a masterpeice. I still hate the mold for this, but as long as hasbro throws in an extra crown i'll be happy that hasbro finally decided t release my favorite character. |
