MTV has reported that Megan Fox, who plays Mikaela in the upcoming "Transformers," will return in the sequel of this summer's highly anticipated blockbuster. Ms. Fox reveals that the development may be further than we think: “I hear they’re writing it now,” she tells MTV. Other actors that have revealed their involvement in the sequel includes Shia LaBeouf, and Peter Cullen.

But... there ARE transformers in it.
2 things keep the movie from being 100% transformers only, beginning-to-end.
Cost. Even with the amount of CGI they DO have going on, I'm sure the Transformers scenes were quite expensive to do.
Need to appeal to a wide variety of movie-goers. Non-fans aren't going to want to see a movie that's just 'robots talking to each other and fighting each other' the whole way through.
I'll tell you what... I was at Shrek 3 last night, and the whole audience was LOVING the Transformers trailer. Kids, adults, fans and non-fans.
My brother was never into Transformers (he's too young to remember G1), and he thinks the trailer looks great. My sister who IS old enough to remember G1 also thinks the trailer looks great, even though she's NOT a big Transformers fan now. And my brother's friend, who's never been into Transformers at ALL, also thinks the trailer looks good. And of course there's me, with fond memories of G1 (and a rabid BT/Alt collector) who also thinks the trailer looks great.
I just think it's funny how a small group of devoted G1 purists think the movie should flop just because THEY don't approve of the direction the movie has taken.
