Two recent eBay auctions from seller "heerotoysmaker" are showing off two versions of Bulkhead from the "Transformers Animated" toyline. The first one is red-colored version, which we have seen before, and another one is a gray-colored mold. To take a look at both, head into the image gallery.

I despise this figure. It represents a drop in design quality and a terrible animation style. I cannot express my displeasure at Transformers having taken this direction for not only a cartoon, but the toys as well. Even it the show turns out to be watchable I won't be touching these toys with a ten-foot pole. At least they'll give me a break to focus on building up other areas of my collection.

Figure doesn't look terrible at all! It's just a different style than what we are used to, but that doesn't make it bad in the slightest. Why are people so afraid of change? It's not like all future Transformers will have this look. I see a lot of classic anime styles in this figure of Bulkhead, especially from the classic anime master Go Nagi's Mazinger series. Very retro, yet detailed. I only wonder why we haven't seen more pics of the beautiful painted versions I saw on display at Comicon?
