New Transformers Movie Phone Action Figure?

By News_Staff on Saturday, December 30, 2006 @ 10:41:58 AM

Well it looks like those strange prototypes we saw on the Japan Patent DB are indeed for the movie. Thanks to Tfans member Hobbes-timus Prime for the heads up about an auction by eBay seller SPX that has new pics of the fully painted figure with the set to 7:47, Hmmmm. Check out the images in the image gallery.

Hahaha, this has truly made my day.

I work in mobile phone technical support, and i cannot wait for someone to give me a call asking for help with their 'Transformer Phone'. I imagine there will be plenty of invalid warranties due to 'user damage'

It certainly looks good from a novelty perspective, but i wouldnt buy one.

If they made a tranforming DS however, i could be tempted....

This toy is lame, i should have known it was from the movie. Couldn't they think of any better transformation than that?? Even the Kronoform watches blow this thing away, and it was a functioning watch... I don't know about this thing.

LOL! Looks like a Gobot but is fine.

i'm impressed by the digital camera and gameboy or hand held game system that are protypes in the display. I hope these toys come to light. Camera is definitely great for a modern day reflector.

Wow... thats pretty, erm, I don't know how to be polite about it!

You'd hope the deficiencies on the robot mode would 'reflect' themselves in some kind of real world gimmick, like a working ringtone, or even some kind of mp3 functionality! Now I'd buy it IF it had working electronics in it and it performed somekind of useful function, although somehow I doubt it. Otherwise it's practically rectangular so the bot mode should be really cool, I mean most of us forgive a TF that is of something incongruous to transform and has a weak robot mode (because, at least I figure, it was ambitious enough to try to attempt it), but this is the first movie design toy I've seen that flouts the whole "blocky robots" idea, I mean I can actually tell what the robot will transform into by merely looking at it in that form! I'm missing something surely...

This thing reminds me of perceptor for some reason.

It would've been much nicer if at the very least the "cape" divided in 2 to form "wings".
