According to a press release from Watch Impress Japan, to promote the new Toshiba Vardia RD-A301 HD DVD/HDD Recorder, Toshiba will have a "HD DVD TRANSFORM" campaign which a Transformers Movie Starscream Vardia Red Model will be included with the purchase of the Vardia RD-A301. The Vardia RD-A301 has the ability to record the high definition content of an HD DVD to Red-Laser DVD Recordable formatted medias and also features a built in 300 GB hard drive. Expect the Vardia RD-A301 to be released in Japan in December 2007 retailing at a hefty 100,000 Yen (about $865).
