Autobase Aichi has posted new images of Kotobukiya's upcoming D-Style Convoy model kit, due out in January 2015 for a price of 3240 yen. There are a lot of SD Optimus Primes, but what sets this one apart is the tiny truck-mode representation it comes with... and how great the oversized Ion Blaster looks pegged into the top of it. Thanks to Autobase Aichi we have have yet more images from the Japan Model Hobby Show 2015 that was going on this week in Japan. Get a look at more new Transformers products images of the T-Arts PlayStation Optimus Prime along with the previously revealed Sega Genesis Megatron. Also shown was the Age of Extinction Optimus Prime Dual Model Kit and the Kotobukiya D-Style painted Optimus Prime and prototype Megatron figures. Finally, we get a preview of the Kotobuikya Z Prime 1/72 Model Kit.
Autobase Aichi has posted an image of Kotobukiya's upcoming Z Prime model kit. This one is kind of an interesting oddity: the kit is a recolor (with possible new Matrix tooling) of Kotobukiya's existing 1/72 scale Type-K Z Knight model. Originally, Z Knights were a short-lived series of human motorized model kits by Tomy that were tied via backstory to Zoids, the famous line of animal motorized model kits. So this is a recolor of a model of a spinoff. Keep reading to see the image!
Hot on the heels of Star Saber receiving his official MP-designation number (along with the controversial MP-23 Exhaust, AKA "Marlboor" Wheeljack) TakaraTomy designer Hisashi Yuki has tweeted a new image showing that Star Saber is able to use his greatsword with a sensible 2-handed grip. That's pretty impressive, considering the size of those forearms! Keep reading to see the photo!
Takara designer Hisashi Yuki has tweeted a new image of the upcoming Masterpiece Star Saber, this time showing off the size of the final mode's body frame as compared to the original. The torso's smaller- which accounts for the smaller Brain of Courage and Saber figures- but the legs are longer and the other figures will account for a smaller, more animation-like percentage of the overall torso, making for much a greater stature overall.
