...well...that does look alot like Megs...but...whats up with the sword? where's the gun? is THAT supposed to be better cause guns are bad or something? O_o what are we telling our children? "guns are bad...so take this knife and stab the enemy instead" ???

Prime has been largely depicted carrying an axe. I think it's just that kind of a show.

Megs looks pretty cool. Wouldn't that be sweet if there were no guns, to me that makes the fights a bit more interesting (everyone shooting but no one gets hit)

removing their guns and giving the sords and axes should make for some good blade to blade combat.

Well the original G1 Megatron toy did have a sword (although not here in the US of A). I like this version of Megs alot.

Too bad he lost the arm cannon. However, the blatant G1 design is a nice compensation for such.

In the test shots, Toy Megatron has the sword AND a huge gun.
Head looks interesting. The other one I saw looked much more like the original design of live-action Meg's movie head. Maybe it's been re-designed to split the difference between new movie and G1.

There's 2 megs, Style. A Cybertron (pre Earth) Megatron with the arm cannon, and an Earth Megatron (the one pictured here).

im sure twill be guns, becuase we have seen them. but, in all reality, the best battles are when they throw down their guns and go man to man is some awesome meele battle

o_0 I smell the sweet smell of vindication in the wind! Translation: I'm freaking loving this look! I don't mind him having a sword though i am a gun-maniac and if this ensures epic battles with close contact, I will certainly won't object!

whoa, and people were crying about the movie-designs...
These ANIMATED - Stuff looks totally stupid to me, but hey, maybe i was just infected by a more adult-look of the TFs shown by the latest series and the movie.
If i try to see this as a way, to approach new kids today i can live with those designs.
Tough i really doubt, that i will ever buy an ANIMATED-Toy.
I just hope i'll get some other TFs from other series as that, as i'm still having problems getting what i want, due to the lack of Toy-supply in my region(or maybe generally in germany, sigh).
Well, but actually i'm willing to give the series a try, when it airs here, as i hope that it would be better than it looks to me now.
