More Age of Extinction News
Michael Bay has previously suggested he might leave Transformers films behind, but kept coming back for more, but this time it may be the real thing. Having stated again that he would leave the franchise to other hands after Age of Extinction, Bay has reinforced this by engaging in talks to direct an upcoming project, "13 Hours", as reported by Variety. If Bay becomes attached to this film, it would likely keep him too occupied to get involved with production of the fifth Transformers movie. Unless Bay reverses once again, we may be looking at a Transformers movie under new guidance.
PlanckEpoch has posted on TFW of his in-store sighting for the final assortment of Deluxe Age of Extinction figures. The assortment carrying Snarl, Bumblebee's updated form, and Hot Shot the very much Tracks recolor of Crosshairs was spotted at Target in Portland, Oregon. The release of these toys to stores effectively marks the end of main line retail releases of AOE, with the only things remaining being various exclusives such as Plantium sets. Click through for photographic proof, and happy hunting!
Robotkingdom has posted images of TakaraTomy's "Black Knight" recolors of Lost Age Advanced Series (Age of Extinction Generations) Slug and Scorn. Both are looking pretty nice, will run you about $32.90, and start shipping this Saturday, November 1st! Keep reading to see the photos!
Just out via Hobbybase are new images of the Prime 1 Studio Grimlock & Optimus Prime Polystone Proto Images of Transformers AOE Statues. According to their post, this is the 1st prototype already displayed at the Hobbybase store. Get a look at the extensive details of these sculpts that feature the Movie Grimlock in T-Rex mode and the Autobots leader Optimus Prime with sword that can stand alone or ride on the Dinobot's back. Yeee ha! Read on for the full previews and release details!
Following a tease in the hobby magazine earlier this week, TakaraTomy has revealed full details on Micron Carnivac. Recolored (yet again) from one of the Transformers: Cybertron Mini-Cons, Carnivac would likely be intended as a stand in for Lockdown's wolf-like cyborgs that menaced the human props in Age of Extinction. The Micron will be available at Toys R Us locations in Japan with the purchase of 3000 Yen or more worth of Transformers products during the campaign period. Keep reading to check out the up close image!
