ENewsI is reporting that when "Transformers" is re-released onto IMAX on September 21, 2007, additional footage totaling two minutes will be attached. This was first noted by "nelson" of Director Michael Bay's official website, who says that he confirmed it with the man himself. "I contacted Michael to verify if the IMAX release of Transformers will include additional footage not seen in the first theatrical release, and he has confirmed that there will be about 2 extra minutes."

Ive never heard of something so silly. Im sure this will convince people about the "power of Imax" for sure.
"IMAX" also sounds la lot like ike "BETAMAX", doesnt it? Wasnt that a technologically superiour method of recording video and audio in its day, which also bombed?

IMAX isn't about more footage. IMAX is about seeing a film on a HUMONGOUS screen with AWESOME sound. New footage or not, Transformers IMAX should still rock the house!
And while I agree the 2 minutes is probably more humans, (groan,) I'm still crossing my fingers that the two minutes may be enough time to show what happened with Barricade, having Optimus Prime And/or Bumblebee finishing him off.
But I wonder if the 2 minutes will make the DVD release?

So basically, according to the matinee price I saw the movie for ($7.00) versus what the local IMAX theatre charges ($14.00), I'm paying an extra $3.50 a minute for new footage. I'm gonna have to think about that one. I mean, I have never seen IMAX and I'm sure it's an experience. But $14.00 for a movie.... damn

Watching a movie on IMAX is an experience.
Two minutes or not, I'll be more than happy to drop my 14 bucks to get the chance to watch this movie on the BIG screen.

I hope you're right. If the speed with which Prime wrecked Bonecrusher, 2 min could easily provide time for him to finish Barricade too and clear up a minor issue that the novelization and comic adaptations already covered. Definitely worth the $14 even if it isn't said scene.

Oops, meant to say if the time in which Prime wrecked Bonecrusher is any indication.

$14? Sorry Blitzwing, your getting ripped off. Where I am, seeing something in IMAX is only an extra dollar above evening prices, or 2 above matinee. It's the difference among $7.75 to $8.75 to $9.75

14 bucks is the standard imax ticket price here is Los Angeles.
Don't know where in the country you are from where IMAX seats are only a dollar more. Must be nice. But that's the price you pay for living in the city.
