According to SpielbergFilms.com, the Transformers movie director Michael Bay will be showing a sneak premier at the 2007 Taormina Film Festival in Sicily, Italy going on June 16th - 22nd. The report cites that Bay will be attending with several of the film's cast members that are as yet unannounced on June 21st for the world premiere screening of the film.

I imagine he's trying to build buzz before the official US opening, to try and boost opening day sales. If the film sucks though, we'll have advance notice, and that will -so- blow up in his face.
