Fun Publications has announced the first two guests of BotCon 2012 as David Kaye and Garry Chalk, officially confirming that these two Transformers voice actors will attend after David Kaye let the cat out of the bag last week. While Fun Publications has not officially announced any guests just yet, it appears that David Kaye (Beast Wars) just could not keep the cat in the bag. Writing on Beast Wars co-star Garry Chalk's Facebook wall, Mr. Kaye told him that he will see him in Dallas in April, which coincides with the month and location of BotCon 2012. BotCon dates are April 26th - 29th. Take a look at our BotCon convention page for all of the details.

Gallery updated with new images Thanks to {Zero} over at the Allspark, who located some of the new Bot Shots toys that he found at his local Asda. According to {Zero}, they only seemed to have the four or five of these figures including Bumblebee, Starscream, Prime, Barricade and Megatron. The game is said to be like paper, scissors, stone. Each robot has a three sided rotating symbol in their chest with fist, blaster and sword where one is chosen and then transformed into vehicle mode. The players then ram them into each other to transform into bot mode. Check out the images and more details after the jump.

Amazon.com now has Hasbro's 25th Anniversary Edition Unicron with Kranix in stock and ready for shipping! The figure is priced at $59.99 and seems be on a less tumultuous availability than what we experienced last month. Unicron is painted to mirror the Transformers: The Movie color scheme. The Unicron figure sports the remolded head mold from Takara's version released under the Welcome to Transformers 2010 Campaign while the body and Mini-Con mold are the same as it has been since the original release way back in the Transformers Armada days.

When the Unicron figure was released under the Transformers Armada line way back when, many fans were ecstatic. Since then, the figure has been repainted for the Energon line, re-released again by Hasbro under the Transformers Universe line and TakaraTomy repainted the guy and released him under their Welcome to 2010 campaign last year. During BotCon this year, it was revealed that Amazon would receive another redecorated version of the behemoth with the Transformers: The Movie color scheme. Thanks to rampageSSS and ACToys, we have looks at the figure, along with comparisons of the versions (black version not pictured) to decide whether or not you want to splurge the $60 when the figure hits the online retailer in October.

More Transformers news and previews coming in from SDCC 2011. We have new looks at the 25th Anniversary Unicron action figure set. This is full repaint of the Armada / Energon mold what looks pretty regal in gold with many detailed paint apps. Check him out in and out of the box after the jump.

Hasbro, Inc. has put out their store exclusives for Amazon, Target, Toys R Us, and Kmart stores that they showcased this morning in their brand team panel. The most buzz-worthy is probably Amazon.com's Unicron re-release in movie-accurate colors from the 1986 Transformers The Movie due for release in October. Additional figures include Target's Human Alliance Leadfoot with Steel Jaw and a two-pack of Wreckers Twintwist (Topspin redeco) and the first appearance by Leadfoot. Check these out, as well as exclusives from Walmart and KMart, after the break!

Hydra just sent us an update this week about some new images from his Micron collection. "This time is a very special item: the carded unreleased Space and Adventure teams from Armada that never saw the light of day! Talk about the rarest of rare Microns! The Space team in particular was an nice looking recolor, and it's too bad we never saw these during the Unicron Battles." You can see them online now at BlackGears.com.

Armada, Season 1, Part 2 - Armada - Media Rhino's latest boxed set release is ho-hum when compared to content previously released. The box art shows Optimus and Galvatron on the front, with Galvatron wielding the Star Sabre and a shadowy Unicron in the background. The sleeve and actual discholder sport 2 different synopsises and screenshots. The inside of the holder cotains an episode list with a very brief synopsis of the episode. The 4 discs superimpose images of both Galvatron and Optimus. Read Review
