i kinda like these.. they have the Energon combining i like in their own new way. the jet mode looks like it was in the back seat compared to the bot mode and combining gimick but over all i'll probably get it. it looks like energon omega supreeme colorwise.

I think my (other :redface ) issue is that I've really liked every figure in the Animated line, even those that I had no interest in purchasing and are a bit WTF like Oil Slick. These two are just so "meh" it was like a slap in the face... And not the good kind.

I actually thought they looked pretty cool. Translucent flames and Ice crystals. Nice. I think you guys expect too much. Is there a single transformers line you like?

Most of them, actually. I even appreciate the vast majority of Animated figures, even if I don't like the aesthetic.

I just don't like these, on any level.

Jet modes need to have wings. I heard the robots are mistransformed, but I don't see much that can be done to make them look better. The red guy's head is disgusting. As for the combinations, the combined jet modes are the worst excuse for combined vehicle forms I have ever seen. The combined robot modes look solid, but that's only because it's two of the same mold into one. The split combined head is really ugly, and again that red guy is completely ruined by his obnoxious colors, horrible head sculpt, and overall skinniness. There's nothing more to say...

I can't even begin to describe how much :fail there is in these figures. They look like they were designed to be power ranger toys!

Colors = :fail Orange and blue are fun, but there's no meshing of the two when they're combined. They look ridiculous.

Bot modes = :fail The only differences appear to be in the head molds and that's about it.

Jet modes = :fail They look like something out of power rangers. There's nothing to them. You can CLEARLY see the legs and feet.

Combined modes = :fail :fail :fail!!!!!!!!!!!! The combined robot looks somewhat decent but he has no hands. I REALLY hope that's just mistransformed. The combined jet mode involves putting one jet on top of the other. HOLY CRAP THAT'S AMAZING. Step aside Powermasters Darkwing and Dreadwind, G2 Dreadwind and Smokejumper, or VIRTUALLY EVERY OTHER DOUBLE COMBINER EVER MADE. Let's look at this amazing bowl of crap that Hasbro has given us now. The toys produced for Takara's Brave line had more imagination than this!!

Screw the animated line. I'm sticking with Universe (barely) and the older stuff. There's no imagination in these toys anymore. They're just being milled out to make a buck :tdown

So who died and made you the final say on whether or not a post is fail worthy? I was sharing my opinion regarding these toys. It's done EVERY DAY on this website, along with practically all other forums on the interwebs. Forums = people sharing ideas and opinions. Excuse me for not making a post that meshes up to your high and mighty standards for posts :roll If you have a problem with it, get off the internet because you're going to find opinions you don't agree with everywhere here.

Especially the part where he's sticking with Universe toys as a solution to the suckiness.

And let me clarify this. I meant Classics 2.0. I called it Universe because that's what the toy line is called. :tmyk

Universe toys rock! I got my first Animated toy yesterday (Jazz) and I like all my Classic/Universe toys more.

Yeah, these things....they suck. Sorry.

They may be mistransformed, but I don't see anything that would make these that much better.

I've never been a fan of Animated's product line, BUT I've always given credit where it's due. Lockdown and Voyager Prime, for example, are wonderful figures. If I dug the Animated look they would be mine, no question.

These though, I can't find a single good thing to say. I just don't like these, even on a conceptual level.

The topper has to be the combined alt mode. That's just bad. Any way you look at it, that's just bad/lazy.

Just my $0.02
