Transformers Armada: The Unicron Files

Unicron is here. Nearly 17 years of anticipation is over. The ultimate Transformers character has crossed over from the great two-dimensional cartoon universe into the hands of the fans' wildest dreams. Can such a toy live up to our expectations? It is much too early to say, but it sure looks good. The real answer will have to wait for the fans to decide in August.

"The re-introduction of the TRANSFORMERS ROBOTS IN DISGUISE and new TRANSFORMERS ARMADA themes have again captured kids' imaginations, as the TRANSFORMERS brand has for nearly 20 years.

Kids and adult fans alike will be thrilled with the fall 2003 return of UNICRON, the most evil TRANSFORMERS character ever, in Hasbro's toy line and in new episodes of the animated program on Cartoon Network, "TRANSFORMERS ARMADA: THE UNICRON BATTLES." The toy version of UNICRON is a huge 16-inch robot -- one of the biggest TRANSFORMERS character ever created! UNICRON is a planet that changes into a robot, trying to take over control of all TRANSFORMERS. This most evil character can hold up to 24 MINI-CON figures, and has projectiles, light-up hands and eyes, traps and hiding places for MINI-CON figures and much more. Armada Unicron Action Figure
Facts and info about the about the Armada Unicron Action Figure. The info below is subject to change or may differ from the actual product released.
  • The Mini-con's name is now officially set as "Dead-End" by Hasbro.
  • Dead-end has three modes: robot, cannon and satellite.
  • The planet mode parts, left hand, chest plates and other parts are made of translucent plastic.
  • The Star Saber may be inserted into his back to activate his chest cannon.
  • There are cannons on his lower legs that fire when a Mini-con is attached.
  • The figure has several Mini-Con compartments and traps in the stomach and legs.
  • There are a total of 24 power pegs around the ring in his planet mode.
  • The figure also has several Mini-con powerlink ports in his robot mode that activate hidden compartments, weapons and other features that brings the total Unicron can carry at once to 27 Mini-cons.
  • There are multiple power pegs on the robot figure.
  • The figure is 16 inches high in robot mode.
  • The figure is 12 inches wide in planet mode.
  • Both hands have individually articulated fingers.
  • One of his hands can grab Mini-cons.
  • Unicron's eye's light up when a mini-con is placed in his hand.
  • The Figure is slated for an August 2003 release date.
  • The manufacturers suggested retail price will be $49.99.

Armada Unicron Cartoon Character
Facts and info about the Armada Unicron character in the cartoon series.
  • The Unicron Character First appeared in Armada episode 24 - Chase.
  • The new Armada series will continue next season under the name "Transformers Armada: The Unicron Battles."
  • Unicron will play a large role in the series.
  • Like the other characters in the show, this Unicron is different from his appearances in other continuities.
  • Unicron and Optimus Prime will meet in battle.
