SDCC Exclusive Battle Damaged Jetfire Bust by Diamond Select Toys

Action Figure Express has announced their store-exclusive bust for the 2009 San Diego Comic-Con as the Battle Damaged Jetfire 6-inch bust by Diamond Select Toys.

Limited to 600 pieces the bust features an interchangeable head and hand. The bust is available for pre-order at AFX's website for $59.99 USD.
Jetfire's dedication to the Autobot cause is matched only by his devotion to scientific and technological advancement - this, he believes, is the only way in which victory over the Decepticons can be achieved. It is this overriding belief that tempers his bravado in battle, but nevertheless, he is often one of the most eager Autobots to plunge into combat, and his position as one of the fastest usually means he is the first to do so.

I like it, and i think its great art!, but however, IF i wanted anything like this type of craft/toy, it would have to be full statues with feet to head arms legs, weapons and all. In Strong stances like you would think Optimus Prime stands. And none of those ones with a base. Just like a more detailed toy, basically, that cant pose. :P

I think it would be cool to have all the G1 Autobots & Decepticons in statue form across the hallway of my, soon to be Palace. :D heh. Maybe, since i have a way with money, but atm, im struggling to be anywhere near that dream.

It looks different enough to get around the liscensing issues. Looks good but busts don't really do anything for me either.

I'm suprised that they managed to get around the licensing issues. The original Jetfire toy was a copy of a Macross veritech fighter. The battle-mode head version is still an identical copy of the original fighter. *lol*

I like the look of the battle-helmet head but that other one looks terrible

Couldn't they just give it legs and call it a statue and jack the price up by another 25-50 bucks. That woudl make a cool statue then.
