Tomy Takara Device Label Transformers Revealed

By Primus on Friday, May 15, 2009

Thanks to ACToys who have posted a number of new images giving the fans a look at the Tomy Takara Device Label Tansformers product in full color. The products vary between USB Hub (Blaster), Thumb Drives (Tigatron and Ravage), and Mice (Grimlock and Trypticon) to make some very cool looking devices with alternate modes as beasts or robots.

I'm really starting to lose interest in these guys. Especially the mice. Looking at them closely I just don't really like that design, especially the big butt the front of the mouse gives them. Compared to the dinky arms and head it just doesn't work for me. I have Ravage on pre-order,... read more

They look neat in color. I was under the impression one of the mouse devices was going to be , nice to see the cassette desk feature implemented on him.

Blaster: will get custom "autobot" desktop screen stickers. There is NO WAY Windows is hanging off the back of HIS bot mode. Maybe itunes or equiv would be better? Ravage: tip-top! Tigertron: No Autobot symbol for me so an easy pass. Methinks someone will now ret-con and make a c... read more

I think the mp3 function only sweetens the pot, I like to think of them as a Classics update to Soundwave. Unfortunately he is a bit pricey, but I'm a Soundwave fanatic, so I am compelled to buy everything that involves Soundwave, including his cassettes. I'll never use the Ravage as a USB... read more

It's a good opinion. Takara/Tomy must know that no one is actually going to use these devices. More practical ones can be bought for less money. I have ML Soundwave and I've never used it as an MP3 player. It's pretty lousy to use as well. There are cheap-o MP3 players at Walg... read more

I love all of these sub-line (Sports, Music, Disney), as long as I can pull it off, I'll probably grab all of these. Of course, as with the music label and such, they'll gety opened to check out, but none of them will ever see any real use.

Eh.. not for me.. Although Blaster does look pretty good. Transformers that turn into actual stuff you can use kind of ruins the whole point imho. I would NEVER use a USB that changes into Ravage over a regular USB in fear that I would break it or loose it like all the other USBs I've owned in... read more
