Rumor - Susan Blu Is Arcee, TF Newcomer is Sideswipe
bwbm - Monday, June 15, 2009

Our friends over at the Transformers Live Action Movie Blog is reporting that Susan Blu was tapped to voice Arcee for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

The website also reports that Chris Griffith has lent his voice to Sideswipe (Chevrolet Stingray Corvette Concept).

As you may know, Ms. Blu has been around the Transformers universe for quite sometime, including the voice of the original Arcee and the Transformers Animated version of her as well. She has also served as the voice director for Beast Wars and most recently Transformers Animated.

Mr. Griffith is most known for his role as Sonic the Hedgehog and is a newcomer to the Transformers franchise.

Remember when "they" said Frank Welker's voice was too cartoony for Megatron? Part of me finds this a tad hard to believe just because I think Arcee's (Sue's) voice would also end up seeming too "cartoony" for the movie as well. Just trying to think in the mindset of ... read more

I've supported Sonic my mann for many years since game 1; but never before would I ever dream that the Blue Blur voice from the hit tv show, Sonic X would ever have anything to do with the robots in disguise. Hmm..., maybe this is a sign that one day Jason will hit the big blue role on the big ... read more

That'd be cool if it's true. Though, I wonder who'll voice Chromia and the third sister. It's unfortunate that Linda Gary (the original voice of Chromia) is out of the question.

More Transformers Movies News
From the same round of leaks as the big Power of the Primes news comes a series of other miscellaneous leaks! First up seems to be a series of movie reissue toys which, given by the dates involved, seems to have been cancelled with the first wave to have occurred in April of this year. We also have some other movie-related figures on display as well as some budget-minded figures such as Cyber Battalion Sideswipe and Shockwave! Keep reading to see it all!
Deadline reports that actress Pamela Adlon - recent Emmy winner for her show Better Things, and voice of Bobby Hill on King Of The Hill among many others- is in talks to join the cast of Transformers Universe: Bumblebee. Adlon is presumed to be up for the role of the mother of the Hailee Steinfeld character, and hopefully we'll learn more about the film soon. Keep reading for an excerpt from the announcement.
Typically Transformers movies have had budgets around the 200 million dollar level, which includes The Last Knight with an estimated budget of $217 million - which according to Box Office Mojo, it still has not made back in its domestic ticket sales* as of July 20th. With this in mind, it's perhaps little surprise that the next movie up, the prequel focused on Bumblebee is being run much more lean. Screenrant has reported on the situation and given us a surprisingly low budget projection for the movie. Keep reading to find out what the film will be working with!

With production having just begun on next year's Bumblebee-focused movie, one would hope that assembling a cast has been on someone's mind. The Hollywood Reporter brings word of a number of young actors currently in talks for parts in the film, following behind leads Hailee Steinfeld and Jorge Lendeborg, Jr. No one involved has given any specifics yet towards the story, only sticking to the rundown of Lorenzo di Bonaventura that it'll be smaller, less robots, and more character development focused. Keep reading to find out more about the newest round of casting!
It is that time of year again when the annual Transformers Hall of Fame nominees are chosen by you to the Transformers fans. This year we have 12 brand new choices lined from all the movies in for the Favorite Robot Movie Character Poll. That's where you come in. We need your help in narrowing this down to the top three characters. Those will be sent onto Hasbro who will count the grand total of votes from many sites with the winner announced at HasCon 2017. Vote now through Saturday at midnight on the Poll after the jump.
