Rumor - Susan Blu Is Arcee, TF Newcomer is Sideswipe
bwbm - Monday, June 15, 2009

Our friends over at the Transformers Live Action Movie Blog is reporting that Susan Blu was tapped to voice Arcee for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

The website also reports that Chris Griffith has lent his voice to Sideswipe (Chevrolet Stingray Corvette Concept).

As you may know, Ms. Blu has been around the Transformers universe for quite sometime, including the voice of the original Arcee and the Transformers Animated version of her as well. She has also served as the voice director for Beast Wars and most recently Transformers Animated.

Mr. Griffith is most known for his role as Sonic the Hedgehog and is a newcomer to the Transformers franchise.

Remember when "they" said Frank Welker's voice was too cartoony for Megatron? Part of me finds this a tad hard to believe just because I think Arcee's (Sue's) voice would also end up seeming too "cartoony" for the movie as well. Just trying to think in the mindset of ... read more

I've supported Sonic my mann for many years since game 1; but never before would I ever dream that the Blue Blur voice from the hit tv show, Sonic X would ever have anything to do with the robots in disguise. Hmm..., maybe this is a sign that one day Jason will hit the big blue role on the big ... read more

That'd be cool if it's true. Though, I wonder who'll voice Chromia and the third sister. It's unfortunate that Linda Gary (the original voice of Chromia) is out of the question.

The Transformers: Bumblebee movie hits screens in 2018. To coincide with this milestone event, Generations is introducing an all new fan-focused offering to celebrate the Transformers movie universe: Studio Series. The Studio Series line will showcase iconic characters and scenes from all of the Transformers films. The Studio Series line features highly detailed, movie-accurate figures with intricate conversation designed to celebrate the iconic characters and moments from the movie universe.
Frequent Weibo source NOTRAB has been posting sets of photos of the Studio Series toys today. While we're given a few shots of Deluxes from waves 1 and 2 grouped together, which demonstrates how extra-tall Ratchet and Lockdown are for their price point, the main feature is devoted shoots featuring wave 1 Voyagers Starscream and Optimus Prime, plus wave 1 Leader Blackout, who easily stands out among the represented company in its impressive detail. We've mirrored the series of images for easy viewing, click through now to go have a look!
Amazon Japan has just posted preorders for the first batch of Studio Series movie toys. Comprising the same range of figures as our wave 1 across the Deluxe, Voyager and Leader price points, 8 of the figures are currently being offered. These each have a release date set as April 21st. This is more or less consistent with earlier leaked information we heard via Toys R Us computers that indicated Studio Series as having an April 20th street date. Just as it was with Toy fair and Wonderfest this year, the time difference between the US and Japan means these will still effectively launch the same day. Keep reading for the new stock images that came with the listings!
It's that time! The official Transformers Facebook page has posted the official promotional renders of Studio Series Leader Classes Blackout and Grimlock, Voyager Classes Optimus Prime, Brawl, Starscream, and Megatron, and Deluxes Stinger, Crowbar, Bumblebee, and Ratchet!
