Transformers Prime CG Animated, Kurtzman & Orci To Serve As Exec Producers
bwbm - Saturday, February 06, 2010

Transformers: Prime will be computer graphics animated and Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci will be involved in the project, reports the Hollywood Reporter.

According to the entertainment website, the screenwriters responsible for the Transformers and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen will be executive producers on the Transformers: Prime, the show debuting on Hasbro Inc. and Discovery Networks' The Hub in fall 2010.

The article also reports that the show will be "CG-animated." Whether the design follows the Transformers Armada, Energon, and Cybertron era or the Beast Wars, Beast Machines era (this reporter crosses his fingers for this version) was not specified.

The name of the show Prime was revealed by Jeffrey Combs on a post in his website, where he also revealed that he has been cast as Ratchet.

Guys, I think it's time we abandon our sensibilities and start hoping that Kurtzman and Orci die in a car accident or something in the near future.

Or perhaps, "The Snub" or "The Sub Par".

Discovery Kids, which will be rebranded "The Hub".

We don't know yet what there involvement will be and you absolutely can not judge anything concrete about any medias final product at this stage of production. That being said when the first ingredient listed in a meal is "Diarrhea" it's not a good sign.

I will be honest, i liked alot of the writing in Animated, but alot more of it was pure dripple and idiotic pandering. @ bwbm, I am keeping tabs on there rolls. With a hard enough effort, TF4 could be their baby. Lots of possibilities here...

i would say thats a good thing but its not, if they wouldn't go in the direction of the movie for this show then why would they choose two of the people that help produce the TF movies?

You guys are forgetting that Orci and Kurtzman are exec producers. They won't be the ones writing the dialogue. They might have some creative input, but it won't be their hands on the keyboard. I am a fan of Fringe and Orci and Kurtzman as a whole. Sure they have written some awful scripts ... read more

I thought Animated was far better written, thought out, and mature (in the sense of making kids read between the lines, remember plotlines, and actually having good characterization) then the movies. Animated was the most intelligent TF series since BW, so if that's kiddie fluff, give me more f... read more

I won't argue with you. My wife loves it. I TRY to like it and it get's going okay till they overdose someone with LSD to send them to another dimension or buildings travel between parallel universes. All I can do is

There've been some pretty spectacular Combiner Wars customs of late - the innovative Raiden that made a 6-part combiner in the format comes to mind. Now, a Japanese Twitter user by the name of @nekogami_red has made the Transformers Prime Decepticons into a combiner! Knock Out, Skyquake, Dreadwing, Airachnid (gotta have a helicopter in there somewhere or it's not Combiner Wars, right?), and Megatron combine to form a body for Unicron! Click through to see the photos.
Not Optimus Prime, not Transformers Prime. Just "Prime." In a bold move, Hasbro is attempting to secure the exclusive trademark rights to use the word "Prime" in reference to "toy robots convertible to other visual toy forms." Are more Primes on the horizon? Is this a pre-emptive move to make sure nobody can Machine Robot Rescue them on a key term in the modern Transformers mythos? No way to tell, but keep reading to see the details of the filing by way of Transformers@TheMoon!
Fans of Transformers Prime will finally get their fill with this listing that just appeared on Amazon for the Complete Series Blu-ray Boxset that is listed for release on August 12, 2016. After watching this via online streams. The great annimation of this series can finally truly be appreciated in a Blu-ray edition. There are no details on extras at this time, but the set is listed for $144.99 USD as an import, without country origin. Treat this as rumor until an official announcement likely to be made as SDCC next month.
