Has Hasbro Discontinued the Animated Line Again? Maybe Not

TFormers Community member "formerly nortagem" received an email from Hasbro, Inc. today regarding some remaining Transformers Animated figures including Blackout and Thundercracker, which they say have been "discontinued."

Due to this, they are unable to provide any information on retail markets that Hasbro said during San Diego Comic-Con that they would work to get the remaining figures out any way they can.

At this point, what "discontinued" means seems a little murky. We have known that the Animated line from Hasbro has wrapped up and additional figures are no longer being produced, but is quite obvious the figures were in production at one point or another because we have seen images and a video of Blackout, not to mention primetime-ready (above) at SDCC as well as official images of Thundercracker.

Also, the second and third paragraph in the response email seems to be pre-drafted, saying that the figures may still be available at some national retail chains, despite the fact the have not been released yet.

Hopefully we will get some new information soon on the fate of the figures that we have been (im)patiently waiting on.

We thank "formerly nortagem" for his help and the following is the full email he received:
Thank you for contacting Hasbro, Inc. regarding the Transformers Animated Blackout and Thundercracker. We appreciate your interest in our company and products.

Regrettably, both products have recently been discontinued. We are, therefore, unable to assist you in identifying retail markets which may still have this product in inventory nor do we have any available for direct sale.

Although they are no longer in our current product line, you may still be able to find them in retail stores. Some of the retail stores that carry Hasbro products include Toys R Us, Wal-Mart, Kmart, and Target.

We apologize for any inconvenience. We hope you and your family will enjoy Hasbro products for many years to come.
