Optimus Prime Statue Pre-Order at Sideshow Collectibles
Primus - Friday, April 09, 2010

Looks like Pop Box collectibles has cut a deal to get Sideshow to carry there Optimus Prime statue. Pop Box announced this statue recently at an outrageous price of nearly $400 for a statue that is not to scale with an over-sized head, lacks most of the detailing from the movie character and has a gaunt uninspired pose. Statues are supposed to be super accurate right? Order the Optimus Prime Statue for $389.99 from Sideshow Collectibles.
Sideshow Collectibles is proud to present the Optimus Prime Statue by PopBox Collectibles. This statuette is the result of a delicate balance between skilled hand craftsmanship and precise computer assisted output, bringing the Autobot leader to life. The Hot Rod flames that personify Prime in the movie are faithfully reproduced as high-quality water-slide decals, each carefully applied during production. The availability of two sets of switch-out hands and a set of his energy sword with magnetic attachments allows you to effortlessly interchange parts for a personalized display. This showcase piece, consisting of over 100 individual parts, is cast in heavy weight, high-quality polystone then hand-painted to exacting standards. Each piece is packaged in a full color box with cushioned foam interior and comes with certificate of authenticity.

No, you're not. I don't quite mind a cartoon accurate G1 bust of a popular character, but that's only because of GWUNNY.

Am I the only one who thinks making statues and busts of Transformers negates the purpose of TFs in the first place?

Once again, Twitter user @miiakira2017 has posted an image of their Transformers-related design work. Today, it's a classic car- the specific make, if any, eludes RAC - that would have turned into a laser pistol-wielding cowboy. Though there's a slight resemblance to 2010's Hunt for the Decepticons Scout-class Hubcap, the replies peg this as a Diaclone-era design, so well before that figure was designed and likely a coincidence. Keep reading to see!
