BotCon 2010 - Fansproject Protector and Explorer Munitioner Reveals

More news coming in from BotCon 2010. The folks at Fansproject have give Tformers special access to thier new "Protector" set that upgrades Classics Rodimus as well as the "Explorer Munitioner" kit that is the upgrade for Universe Bruticus. Check out the images on toys from many angles and stuff.

According to my BBTS pre order for Explorer and Munitioner. They have been pushed back to August. SO they might be having some issue with the Protector Upgrade. But at least do a pre order or something so we know how much

Yeah the Ttitanium Rodimus looked sweet. I like the idea that the trialer piece is "a part of the robot mode" so that there is not upgrade to go through. There really should be a painted Prototype by now, the colors would help sell it faster.

Yup. TFSource were the ones displaying the FansProject stuff. There's no way FansProject gonna be in the same building with a bunch of Hasbro execs.

I have the titanium one also, but I think it would be cooler to have Hot Rod and next to him Rodimus Prime in the upgrade

I'm more interested in this than I was in the Ultra Magnus set. Still, I'm something of a hard sell since I was pretty happy with the Rodimus Titanium release.

still looks cool. but i have yet to see a single hot rod/rodimus (other than the G1 figure) that has perfect arms. and by perfect arms i mean the exhaust guns. it was always my favorite part of the G1 model.. yet other than the G1 figure, they've never been duplicated to look as cool as they di... read more

More Conventions Center News
The ToysWalker page on Facebook has posted some coverage of the Toy Soul event happening right now in Hong Kong, including the Flame Toys display featuring early looks at a number of new licensed Transformers products they're working on. The previously teased Tarn is on display in full, though still just in prototype grey. Alongside is a prototype for an IDW-inspired Star Saber - and if you didn't think Star Saber looked like a Gundam already, you sure will now. A series of simpler figures or possibly model kits consisting of highly stylized redesigns of G1 characters was also on show today. In what will probably be our final look at Tokyo Comic Con for this year's event, we've got some additional photos from tagoal on Twitter. Among the highlights are another sighting of the movie series diorama highlighting key moments from the various films. We also get to see some of the 2018 series of Movie The Best with Hound, Jetfire, ROTF Optimus, and Nemesis Prime. A quick look at the G-Shock watches and another pass over the Masterpieces and Street Fighter crossovers rounds out this last piece of coverage. You can find all that below in the gallery!
