FanFic - Batman vs The Transformers Part 1
PowermasterJazz - Saturday, November 29, 2003

by Bill Gilson

NARRATION: Waynetech Labs...

SCENE: We see the Waynetech lab complex beyond a steel fence. In between those two structures a shadowy robotic figure with massive wings creeps toward the building. We cut to inside the building where a burly construction worker is yelling at a scientist wearing glasses.

CONSTRUCTION WORKER: These walls are built tough. If you don't like the way I do things 'round here, you can kiss my--

There's a rumbling sound from above and a huge chunk of debris falls from the ceiling and crushes the worker.

Suddenly the large robot outside revealed to be Starscream crashes through the wall with a thunderous punch. He picks up the almost microscopic scientist by the lab coat and holds the human to his face.

STARSCREAM: Puny insignificant man of flesh! Your primitive Earth science does not interest me....but the sound of your frail human bones crackling does!

That voice is revealed as Megatron who is now standing next to the screamer.

MEGATRON: I require his knowledge of this facility.

STARSCREAM: MEGATRON! I told you I could carry out this mission! I don't need your help! GET LOST!

MEGATRON: And I told YOU I don't trust you to carry out this mission by yourself! Oh, yes, one more thing. Talk to me like that again, Starscream, and I will personally rip your lasercore out with my teeth! Is that clear?

STARSCREAM: (gulp) Yes, sir, Mighty Megatron!

GATRON: Place the good doctor the ground gently, Starscream.

STARSCREAM: As you command.

Starscream does as he’s told. Megatron proceeds to tower over the scientist who is still in shock.

MEGATRON: Now, doctor, if you wish to continue functioning, you will direct me to your supply of Chromacron.

SCIENTIST: N-n-no p-p-problem.

The scientist begins to lead Megatron and Starscream through the facility as Starscream talks.

STARSCREAM: Megatron, why do we need this Chromacron? What does it do?(thinking) and can I use it to destroy you?

MEGATRON: Chromacron is a special alloy when mixed with steel can make even the weakest steel indestructible. With the Chromacron in our possession, the Autobots won’t stand a chance against us!

SCIENTIST: H-h-here it is.

The two Decepticons are led into a room filled with steel drums and vats of chemical wastes.

STARSCREAM: I suppose the Earth scientists hoped to use this Chroma-whatcha-ma-callit to strengthen their vehicles, making them safer. Correct, Earth germ?

SCIENTIST: Y-y-es. Th-th-that’s right.

STARSCREAM: How utterly wasteful.

MEGATRON: Fortunately, we Decepticons have a better use for it. We will strengthen our forces. Make them indestructible. Impervious to Autobot laser fire. Soon the mighty Optimus Prime will be at my feet begging for mercy, just before I terminate him. MUAHAHAHAHA! But there is more than enough here. If we were to obtain more metal we could build more Decepticons to add to our forces.

Megatron spots one of the vats.

MEGATRON: Human, what do you house in those vats?

SCIENTIST: C-c-chemical wastes...

MEGATRON: We have no need for waste, on the other hand the steel of those vats will serve our purpose. Starscream, retrieve one of those vats, but dispose of the waste.

STARSCREAM: With pleasure, leader!

Starscream rips one of the vats out of place and proceeds to walk over towards the scientist. The camera focuses on the scientist who looks in horror as Starscream’s shadow looms over him.

SCIENTIST: N-n-n-o p-p-p-lease!

The camera shifts to Starscream who begins to dump the waste on the helpless scientist who is off camera.

Starscream looks at Megatron with a worried look on his face. He expects Megatron to scold him, but instead he grins.

MEGATRON: You always did have a flair for the dramatic. I knew there had to be a reason why I keep you around.

End Scene.

SCENE: Waynetech Labs, one hour later, we see Commissioner James Gordon standing over the melted corpse of the scientist which is covered by a tarp. Detective Harvey Bullock questions the surviving workers and scientists. After the questioning, Bullock approaches Gordon.

BULLOCK: I questioned all o’ the workers an’ eggheads, Commish. But their stories don’t make sense.....

GORDON: Well spit it out, Bullock, what did they say?

BULLOCK: Well, they keep rambling on about giant robots, I figure they’re all coked up!

That voice belonged to Batman, who steps out of the shadows, his cloak covering his body.

BULLOCK: And I thought giant robots were the only freaks I’d have to deal with tonight!

BATMAN: Jonathan Crane. The robots those workers saw must have been one of his fear-induced hallucinations. My guess is he wasn’t working alone. He had some kind demolition crew with him. That would explain the holes in the walls. This man here was standing to close to a vat when it was tipped over.

GORDON: But the Scarecrow is locked up in Arkham Asylum.

BATMAN: I have to know for sure. I’m going to Arkham.

GORDON: You’d better be careful. Jeremiah Arkham threatened to press charges if you harass his patients.

BATMAN: I’ll be gentle.

Batman runs outside where the Batmobile is parked. He hops in and drives off.

BULLOCK: I don’t trust him, Commish.

GORDON: I know, Harv, but he may be the only hope we have.

End Scene.

Once again, Twitter user @miiakira2017 has posted an image of their Transformers-related design work. Today, it's a classic car- the specific make, if any, eludes RAC - that would have turned into a laser pistol-wielding cowboy. Though there's a slight resemblance to 2010's Hunt for the Decepticons Scout-class Hubcap, the replies peg this as a Diaclone-era design, so well before that figure was designed and likely a coincidence. Keep reading to see!
