Wonderfest 2017 Winter - LG-EX Legends Headmaster Comic Released & They're Giving That Clear Prime Away Again
RAC - Thursday, February 16, 2017

Wonder Festival 2017 Winter is this weekend in Japan, and to celebrate TakaraTomy is giving away yet another run of that clear plastic (old) Legends scale Optimus Prime, which by now has to be the least rare and least exclusive rare exclusive in history. They've also released the tie-in comic for the LG-EX Headmasters set which will debut at Wonderfest and go on to be sold at Cybertron Satellite stores in Japan. The comic introduces a new concept: Double Headmasters. Keep reading for more info!
In the context of the comic, a Double Headmaster is when a Transtector for one of the LG-EX Headmasters transformers into robot mode and one of the two Headmaster/Titan Master figures stays in the vehicle mode cockpit to... some kind of benefit? Maybe a translation of the comic would be useful here. But at least the comic points out something important: between the Babyseat Cannon and the actual driver/pilot compartment, you will always have place for both heads in both modes.

On the contest front, if you're in Japan there's a hashtag you can Tweet in the image to take a shot at winning one of those clear Primes if you don't have one already. There's also a shot at winning Movie The Best MB-11 Optimus Prime!

TFW2005 has posted a message from online retailer Toyshoppe claiming that LG-EX Black Convoy is coming as a Tokyo Toy Show exclusive this June. It's not super-surprising to any of us that Titans Return Voyager class Optimus Prime would get made into Robots In Disguise Scourge by TakaraTomy, but it is a little surprising that it seems to be happening before the mold is otherwise released in Japan. Keep reading to see the notice!
So, Wonder Festival is on February 19th in Japan, and the LG-EX Headmasters set debuts there. But where else can it be found? Twitter user @robo_z has posted an image of a sign announcing that the Headmasters set - a redeco of US Titan Masters releases colored to match their Legends equivalents - will be available at their Cybertron Satellite stores on the 25th. And if you happen to be prowling around Japan right now, you may be able to get a hold of a coupon like the one in the picture that reduces the price to 2,380 Yen! Keep reading to see the image.
TakaraTomy's TF_pr Twitter account is starting to promote the upcoming release of Leo Prime in the Legends line later this month. The figure is a recolor of Titan Return Alpha Trion based on Lio Convoy, and using the Titan Master mold from Sentinel Prime to give it that Prime-ish look. One photo gives us a look at the toy's packaging, while the other sees Leo Prime borrowing a bit of Starscream's coronation gear, specifically the cape from the Masterpiece. Sadly, it seems that it's simply propped up in place rather than being able to attach for real. Click through to see the mirrored pictures!
Our forums member chuckdawg1999 is back once again with a new toy video for us. This time he's bringing a look at TakaraTomy Legends Astrotrain side by side with its Hasbro Titans Return counterpart. This gives a good chance to directly compare the two releases, find out about any differences besides deco, and see which you might prefer. We have Chuck's video embedded below, so click through and give it a look!
Following twitter, Takara Legends LG40 Astrotrain are showing up Facebook with some nice clear images posted by Jimmy Yu. This batch of shots shows off both the robot, base and spaceship modes from some different angles. Read on to see all the images mirrored below.
