Transformers brought to life
From March to May 2017 Optimus Prime, Megatron, Bumblebee and the Rescue Bots will invade the African continent for the first time in Transformers Animatronics at Emperors Palace. Following a massively successful Latin American tour, visitors can look forward to breath-taking sculptures, made from wrecked cars, on display against the scenery of the legendary planet, Cybertron, that will be brought to life through eye-popping performance technology.
Transformers Animatronics is a unique event based on the popular Hasbro saga that has broken box office records for both movies and television. And now it will head to Emperors Palace with a spectacular display that has been enjoyed by millions of people on tour across the globe. This travelling exhibition of international standards will feature 12 animated Transformers, 9 sculptures scaled between and 2m and 11m made from car parts, and a further 20 statues varying in size. In addition, an impressive arsenal of weapons used by the Transformers characters will also be showcased. Young and old will immerse themselves in the incredible universe of Optimus Prime and his companions, from its origins in the world of comics to the television series and blockbuster movies. Autobots and Decepticons will also feature prominently, accompanied by the latest Dino Bots and famous Rescue Bots, the famed pre-school series that has expanded the Transformers fan base.

James Eatock, AKA CerealGeek, has posted the first installment of a recent find of his to Instagram: a treasure trove of Marvel Productions/Sunbow production materials from the original Transformers cartoon! First up are the hand-colored color guide and model cel for G1 Bluestreak... in his original blue colors! Keep reading to see.
Almost no time since we got full stock photos and a listing on Walmart.com confirming the mega-retailer to be carrying it, we now have a video review of reissue G1 Hot Rod. Posted by kevin Liu, the video is in Chinese, though in functional terms we probably don't need dialogue to comprehend how a G1 Hot Rod works. But we do get a close look at the replica vintage packaging, the toy as packaged - meaning minus most of its stickers. Unfortunately Kevin does not show Hot Rod fully stickered, but does give a close look at the sticker sheet. Keep reading to find it all in the embedded video!
“The Falling,” Part 4. Onyx Prime’s motivations are clear, and his scheme seems unstoppable. Heroes have fallen, and hope dwindles for the survivors. Cybertron’s last chance of salvation is in the hands of... well, that would be telling, wouldn’t it?
Today Quidd announced a partnership with Hasbro to launch officially-licensed Transformers digital stickers and trading cards for iOS and Android users of the Quidd app.
Optimus Prime, among many other favorites will be featured as both digital stickers and trading cards. Each digital good will have its own unique serial number. Digital goods will be available starting later this afternoon.
Imaginarium Art has posted a new image of their upcoming G1 Arcee statue to Facebook. The sculpt - whose appearance could probably be accomplished on a human woman with a skintight costume or even bodypaint - embraces some of the sculpt issues and deco issues RAC addressed in his review of Generations Arcee many years ago. It's not specified which of their two sizes it'll be made in, but we'll likely find out more soon. Keep reading to see.
