New Trailer Tomorrow! Transformers: The Last Knight Teaser Posted To Facebook Calls Allegiances Into Question
RAC - Tuesday, May 16, 2017

Up to now, we had entertained the possibility that the sword-wielding robots in previous trailers - The Knights Of Cybertron? - would end up being enemies of the Autobots in Transformers: The Last Knight. But the teaser posted today clearly shows that when Optimus Prime goes all Dynasty Warriors on them, he's got purple eyes. Who's the good guys and who's the bad guys? It's even harder to tell than is usual for the live-action movies, but perhaps the new trailer that drops tomorrow will provide a clue. Keep reading for the teaser!

TF5 hits the US on June 21st, starring Mark Wahlberg, Isabela Moner, Laura Haddock, and the voice of Peter Cullen, among others.

More Transformers 5 The Last Knight News
Furio Tedeschi has posted to his Facebook page, sharing a high res image of his concept for Optimus Primal for The Last Knight. Of course this idea never made it in the final film, which just invites all sort of speculation as to what stage of development this existed in and what context it might have been intended for use. However, short of a comprehensive behind the scenes guide book to the movie, which seems just a bit unlikely, we'll probably never get to find out these answers. But it's still fun to look at the pictures! Click through for the full resolution image.
Paramount Home Media Distribution has officially announced that it will release on 4K Blu-ray 3D Blu-ray and Blu-ray director Michael Bay's blockbuster's Transformers: The Last Knight. The groundbreaking adventure will also be available as part of the Transformers' 5-Movie Blu-ray Collection. All four releases will be available for purchase on September 26.
Coming to us from Kevin Liu, we've got our first look in video at the Deluxe Cogman figure from The Last Knight. This video covers transformation from car to robot, which has a couple of unexpected turns along the way that make the process look interesting to do. And of course we get good overviews of both modes as well as a quick showing of some alternate head choices on Cogman's "transtector". The video is in Chinese, but it's a great look at the toy. You can find it embedded in the full post below!
From chuckdawg1999 on our forums, we have a look at Wave 3's brand new Deluxe Bumblebee. While Chuck highlights the relative smallness of the robot mode (and bad use of packaging space in the Premier Edition boxes) what really seems to stand out is the involved transformation from car to robot as demonstrated in this video. You can check it out yourself, click through now to watch the video embedded below!
Thanks to the Toy People blog, we've got a really nice quick photo shoot of Cogman from the Premier Edition lineup. By all indications, Cogman is likely to be the last new Deluxe in the lineup for The Last Knight, which honestly doesn't make good odds for helpful distribution. But there will be a TakaraTomy option for this figure which while more expensive, may be a more sure way to get this figure. And you can check out the mirrored photos from Toy People below to help you decide if the effort or potential extra cost to obtain Cogman will be worthwhile!
