Better Late Than Never? Transformers Merchandise Feature Coming To Walmart in June
ExVee - Thursday, May 18, 2017

Today, as I was scanning through Tiny Turbo Changer blindbags at my local Walmart (and completely failing to find a Blackout), the toy department manager took notice and volunteered some new information, given to her straight from the local Hasbro rep, and it's good news indeed if you, like many of us in the US, have been having an awful time finding anything current in stock at Walmart, except for maybe movie line product which is pretty solidly saturated now: Walmart will be setting an "Action Alley" feature for Transformers starting in June. Keep reading to find out more!
According to this report, we can look forward to a display along the line of what Power Rangers and Guardians of The Galaxy 2 merchandise has had lately. The manager didn't have a specific date for deployment of the product feature, but around the movie's US launch day of June 21st would make sense. With any luck this will be the big "catch-up" for Walmart across all the product lines, so if you've been having little luck there of late, hang tight and watch that space! Maybe we'll even be really lucky and the entirety of Titans Return Wave 5, The Last Knight Voyager Wave 2, and Leader Wave 1 will have their general retail debut then as well!

From forums member chuckdawg1999, we've got a two in one review for both of the main Hot Rod releases for The Last Knight's toyline. The video starts with a look at the Deluxe edition, which while known to share some engineering with Age of Extinction Lockdown, seems to largely have its own identity in the particulars of its transformation. The Legion Class brings up the end of the video, rounding things out with a simplicity that seems enjoyable after the Deluxe figure. ToysRUs Japan has posted a new promo video for the TakaraTomy Transformers: The Last Knight toyline! The first few minutes are some great stop-motion animation involving the toys, followed by a rundown of the toyline and a trailer for the film that you've probably already seen by now. TFW2005 user LEGOprime has posted images from a recent visit to Universal Studios Hollywood showing new Transformers: The Last Knight merchandise at the store there! As we reported, The Last Knight is playing reasonably well to the international box office. But at home, even its extended opening weekend period has not helped to bolster its numbers, with a now estimated gross of just over $69 million to wrap up its first weekend. That is slightly above the revised projections from a few days ago that were looking at as low as $65 million, but it's anything but good. Keep reading for more information.
