Michael Bay Confirms - Transformers: The Last Knight Is his Fourth Final Movie In The Franchise
RAC - Saturday, June 17, 2017

Movie website Fandango has interviewed director Michael Bay about his plans for the future, and they once again do not include another Transformers film. This is the fourth time Bay has made this declaration, having recanted after Revenge of the Fallen, Dark of the Moon, and Age of Extinction - frequently citing an admirable desire to keep his crew together and keep them getting paid. Keep reading for a link to the full interview and the relevant quote!
"These movies that I've done, they are massive movies. They take a lot out of you," Bay said when we asked if he was finally -- for real, this time -- stepping away from the Transformers franchise. "I've done it enough, and I've had a great time doing it. I'm going out with a bang on this one, and I feel like you gotta go out while you're ahead, you know. I think I've had a good run, and I've got a lot of other movies I want to do."

The interview was part III of a "Past, Present, Future" triptych of interviews with Bay discussing his career. Transformers: The Last Knight hits theaters this Tuesday night.

Those curious to see a Transformers movie not directed by Mr. Bay will not need to wait to see if he's in earnest this time: Travis Knight, director of Kubo & The Two Strings, will be helming the Bumblebee movie due out next summer.

Regardless of whether or not he continues with the Transformers movie series, we at TFormers wish Mr. Bay and his film crew the best in all their future projects.

It's out now, and has been spotted at a Danville, Virginia TargetToysRUs by no less than Radio Free Cybertron's own "Headmaster" Don Ferguson! This is the Transformers: Dark Of The Moon Voyager mold with clear red plastic equipment that can be used to "reveal" the character's affiliation via a symbol scrambled in the classic Tech-Spec style. Facebook's built-in translator is... not perfect, let's say. Charitably. The name in the headline, "Gold Plating Invincible Admiral Micronesia" is how Facebook translates "Lucky Draw Leader Class Megatron" out of Chinese. Keep reading for the photo, via tfbizonline.me!
Furio Tedeschi has posted to his Facebook page, sharing a high res image of his concept for Optimus Primal for The Last Knight. Of course this idea never made it in the final film, which just invites all sort of speculation as to what stage of development this existed in and what context it might have been intended for use. However, short of a comprehensive behind the scenes guide book to the movie, which seems just a bit unlikely, we'll probably never get to find out these answers. But it's still fun to look at the pictures! Click through for the full resolution image.
Paramount Home Media Distribution has officially announced that it will release on 4K Blu-ray 3D Blu-ray and Blu-ray director Michael Bay's blockbuster's Transformers: The Last Knight.
