LG-EX Legends God Ginrai With Minerva & Cab - Official Photos Of Controversially Shiny Figure
RAC - Monday, June 19, 2017

So, you just finished spending about two hundred bucks on LG-35 Super Ginrai and LG-42 Godbomber. Want Headmaster/Titan Master figures of Minerva and Cab, and maybe some chrome for Godbomber's chest? Hope you're prepared to do it again! TakaraTomy has posted the first color images of the LG-EX set, scheduled for November and open for preorder now. Keep reading to see!
The official price given on the TakaraTomy Mall website is 17,280 Yen, which might even be a little cheaper than the two figures were at individual retail. Argh!

Meanwhile, if you're down to spend two hundred bucks on a God Ginrai and want to get two bonus figures each of the Titan Master, Legends, Deluxe, and Voyager classes, the Titans Return Siege on Cybertron set is due out any day now with Magnus Prime, who uses the Super Ginrai variant of the Powermaster Optimus Prime mold. Godbomber has not yet been annnounced, but we have two more multipacks planned with Leader slots available, and why would you release the Ginrai mold in the US if not to make God Ginrai available to the rest of the world?

Ginrai is the human character who, in the Japanese Transformers cartoon sequel Super-God Masterforce, inherited the "transtector" - non-sentient Transformer body - which was originally intended to be used by Optimus Prime. The Japanese Godmasters were the equivalent of the US Powermasters, and Ginrai the human was the Hi-Q figure. Super Ginrai was the combined mode of Powermaster Optimus Prime and his trailer, and God Ginrai was the combination of Super Ginrai and Godbomber, who was not available in the US until the "Powermaster Optimus Prime with Apex Armor" reissue in the early 2000s. You can pre-order this figure now at BigBadToyStore.com.

More Legends News
A little while back, TakaraTomy polled for what Legends Series toys respondents in Japan would be interested in having another shot at. From those results, several preorders went up on TakaraTomy Mall, with the condition that they could be canceled if enough orders weren't received. It seems that has in fact been the case, with Autobase Aichi now reporting a number of those reissues will no longer be happening. Keep reading to find out which ones didn't make the cut!

Following the announcement from Takara Tomy, we have word from BBTS that the Transformers Legends LG-EX Metroplex Exclusive release is now up for preorder. The figure listed to begin shipping in March 2018 is likely to sell out fast, much like it did the first time, so don't delay. Check out the images, details and order information after the jump.
Along with MP-40 Targetmaster Hot Rod, TakaraTomy has the pages up for Legends Series LG58, 59, and 60 - Clone Bots, Blitzwing, and Overlord - up with official photos and turnarounds. We get very good looks at Overlord's new faces and Titan Masters, an up-close with Blitzwing's redeco of the elephant-tank Titan Master vehicle, and higher res coverage of the Autobot Clones and their animation accurate, but not entirely popular pink-leaning decos. There's a ton of photos of these altogether, so check out the gallery below for all the details!
TakaraTomy Mall has just activated an interesting preorder. From today through August 30th, customers in Japan can place a preorder for a rerelease of Titan Class Metroplex. Metroplex is priced at 27,000 Yen (the standard 25,000 Yen price plus 8% tax), and is scheduled for delivery in January. Metroplex has become fairly expensive on the aftermarket in any variety, so a reissue of even the Japanese version should hopefully increase accessibility for everyone. New (or revised) packaging is likely, but no other immediate differences present themselves with this edition. Click through for a link to the TakaraTomy Mall page.
It's Decision Time for toy collectors once again as courtesy of TFND on Facebook, we have images showing TakaraTomy's takes on the Autobot Clones, Blitzwing, and most significantly, Overlord! The latter is unsurprisingly the most changed, with a pair of new faces attached to his two Headmasters, Mega and Giga! He also seems to have a pair of "dummy" Godmasters that store in his chest showing recreations of the originals' engines. Keep reading to see!
