Titans Return Grotusque With Fengul & Titan Master Scorponok - TFormers Generations Gallery
ExVee - Sunday, October 08, 2017

Having managed to stay under the radar for who knows how long, Titans Return Grotusque was announced and simultaneously listed for sale on HTS on the Thursday morning of New York Comic Con. Three days later, we're bringing you a full gallery of the set, which includes Grotusque, his Titan Master Fengul, and the fourth and (presumably) final die-cast Titan Master Scorponok. We've got nearly 200 photos of the set in the gallery below! Keep reading for more info and a few "chapter" links!

Some quick info about the set:

Grotusque shares parts with Twinferno (Doublecross), but is rather extensively different. The only parts shared by both toys are the weapons, the body of the Titan Master, the cockpit hatch, the wings, and the legs in their entirety.

Parts of the torso are detailed similarly to Twinferno, but also feature new sculpt and detail elements indicating the shared details must have been purposely reproduced.

The Titan Master Fengul is based on a Battle Beast - or more to the point a Beastformer character from The Headmasters, much like Twinferno's Titan Master Daburu. In this case, Fengul is modeled after Platinum Tiger by way of fairly extensive deco and a new head with sabretooth tiger attributes.

Grotusque is intended to be able to tab the guns to the sides of the monster mode head for storage in robot mode. On at least my copy, the tabs would not fit. Testing with Twinferno's accessories seems to indicate the problem is with the slots on Grotusque, rather than with its instance of the weapons. The instructions (do not very clearly) indicate storing the weapons in this way, but it may not work in practice. Tread carefully else you may end up with many stress marks as I did.

Titan Master Scorponok is the same body type used for Thunderwing and Ultra Magnus. Delightfully, the Scorponok face is very based on Andrew Wildman's art of the character as seen toward the end of the Marvel US G1 comic run.

Surprise! Or it would have been if not for the tireless efforts of eternal Weibo leaker tf-factory, who has posted Power of the Primes package backs today. Included are Voyagers Elita-1, Inferno, and Hun-Gurr as well as Deluxe Moonracer. Also, a Deluxe Blast Off who is marked off presumably to permit more leaks later - which is just stupid, because what else would it be but a US release of the Unite Warriors mold? Keep reading to see the images, which are potentially frustrating on a variety of levels.
Cybertron has been invaded. The Transformers encounter unwelcome guests at the heart of Cybertron -- and they may not have their hosts' best interests at heart. Refugees from another world, the Visionaries' startling magical abilities could make them powerful allies... or dangerous enemies. Expected in shops January 3, 2018. Click through for the preview, with its stunning one whole page of actual content!
2005 Forums member Wing_Saber-X has reported that a local store in Malaysia has Power of the Primes Prime Masters, Legends, Deluxes, and Voyagers on sale! This is our first sighting in Asian stores, and our second overall sighting of Voyagers after a sighting in Canada this week. Hopefully they'll move into other markets soon. Keep reading for sighting photos, mirrored here!
You may remember Flame Toys, who came on the scene last year with their first officially licensed Transformers figure, a non-converting high detail figure of Drift. Their second project turned out to be Decepticon Justice Division commander Tarn, and tonight we have a new image of a prototype for that figure, along with a hint that there may be more of it to be seen at Toy Soul 2017 this weekend in Hong Kong. It's possible that at least a hand-painted color sample of Tarn may be shown off, but odds are good either way some form of prototype will be a centerpiece of their exhibit. Keep reading to see the full size teaser image!
It's that time again, with Titans Return episode 6, "Desperate Actions" hitting the go90 streaming service. We haven't watched it yet, so we have no idea what to tell (or warn) you about for this episode. Keep reading for a link so you can discover it for yourself!
