Toys R Us Canada is joining the stock photo drop lineup with new images of Leader Class Rodimus Unicronus from wave 2 of Power of The Primes in a newly posted product listing. The toy is a redeco of Rodimus Prime, evidently with a modified Rodimus Prime head featuring a visor and thick robo-stache. The smaller Hot Rod component homages Shattered Glass Rodimus in its hood deco and use of a purple Autobot logo versus the Decepticon emblems used elsewhere on the toy. An unsourced anonymous image board post has provided something a bit interesting to look at: Power of The Primes Rodimus Prime broken down to its individual units showing a new perspective of how the full Leader Class toy comes together. As shown we can see the Hot Rod robot, plus the transformed state of the trailer that forms most of the Rodimus body, along with the Rodimus arms, which detach between forms. Of note which may not have been clear before, the Matrix chamber is located within the Rodimus Prime specific body portions rather than as part of Hot Rod directly. Keep reading to see the photo.

I don't think Jazz was really done any favors by having to become a combiner limb in the latest interpretation, though for the most part the execution of that feature in the toy went just fine. But there are some engineering problems, joint tolerance issues, and more really detracting from this toy. Which is a shame given how I really like where the vehicle mode went and I so wish I could feel the same about most of the rest of it.
