Energon Shockblast & Omega Supreme DVDs

Paramount is moving on their partnership with Hasbro to release the Energon cartoons on DVD. There will be two new titles hitting the shelves on Feburary 22nd: Shockblast Unleashed and Omega Supreme. Both will inlcude 4 episodes. Read on to check out the covers and episode summaries.

Transformers: Energon - Shockblast Unleashed: features episodes 21, 25, 26 & 28. The epic battle between the Autobots and the Decepticons rages on - and each side has a formidable new addition. True to his Autobot nature, Wingsaber embodies the idea of teamwork as he Powerlinks with Optimus Prime. Meanwhile, Shockblast has escaped from his prison cell on Cybertron and is wreaking havoc in the name of the Decepticons - but his real goal is to steal the throne from Megatron...

• "Shockblast: Rampage" With the Autobots in pursuit, Shockblast makes contact with Megatron and is able to breach the Energon Grid.
• "Open Fire!" Megatron and Optimus Prime are set to face off in a final showdown - until Shockblast interferes.
• "Ripped Up Space" In an attempt to regain control of Unicron, Megatron accidentally causes an explosion that rips a hole right through the very fabric of the Universe!
• "Protection" On the other side of the rip, the Autobots must now defend a whole new set of planets, and Wingsaber finally gets the chance to re-capture his prisoner.

Transformers: Energon - Omega Supreme: features episodes 34, 35, 36, 37! The legendary battle between the Autobots and the Decepticons continues - and the Decepticons seem to have the advantage. With mighty Unicron under his control, Megatron is bent on conquering the Universe. Just when all seems lost, the Autobots receive help from an unexpected source - Omega Supreme! The ancient guardian, slumbering for eons, has been re-awakened to assist Optimus Prime in defending the Universe...

• "Crash Course" The Autobots enjoy a rare moment of rest and relaxation and Dr. Jones witnesses something amazing!
• "Omega Supreme" The sleeping giant is awake and ready to help, just when the Autobots need it the most...
• "A Heroic Battle" Unicron is complete! Optimus Prime must use his Spark of Combination to Powerlink with Omega Supreme - together they will battle the evil planet.
• "The Power" The Autobots find a weak spot in Unicron's armor. Meanwhile, some very interesting transformations are taking place on the Decepticon team...

Both DVDs are 98 minutes in length and are expected to sell for $16.99 each. Paramount has said they will be making an announcement later this year about the release of Transformers: Cybertron on DVD from Paramount in August of 2005.
