I knew that this would be coming ever since ethey first announced that they were doign the mold for Prime. So far it looks to be one of the best Alternator repaints yet, but I'll wait until I see the pics of him in bot mode outside of the package to pass my final judgement.

I didnt want to pick up Alt Prime for 2 reasons.
1: I knew they would repaint him...
2: MMP Prime is good enough for me
(when it comes to owning a Prime for my Alts)
Looking forward to seeing more pics of robot mode and paint apps...
Then I can mod him per the specs on TFans.com...

Wonder what the bot mode looks like. I've only seen one Alt Prime so far (the one I snagged). Anyone notice what a PITA he is to get back into Alt mode? Never lines up right.

wouldnt be surpised they used most molds atleast 2 or 3 times ( 2 total similar one with slight customization)

Its rumored to be an exclusive at one of the conventions this summer. SDCC I think....that means its going to very limited.

When Prime came out, nearly everyone derided it as the worst in the line and generally a pretty awful design. Now they repaint the same toy black, and everyone praises it. I love Transformers.

I can't even find the regular Prime. When's the re-release of Meister coming out? I thought that that was supposed to come out in May and I can't find that anywhere. All I can find are Skidz, Sunstreaker, Prowl, and Tracks.

Meh. I picked up Prime today and think he's great, especially when the legs are fully extended and the grill is left in-place (rather than in it's "skirt" position). This black repaint is lackluster and totally missing its full potential. Even without being remolded he'd be much better as Scourge with the addition of gray plastic and metallic teal outlines, rather than simply black and blue plastic. If they really want him to be Nemesis Prime then I expect some brown plastic as well (like his two incarnations, tinting his windows red like on Dead-end would have been nice too). I'll reserve final judgement until I see it in robot mode out of package.

I'd be happy to stick with the regular red Prime, if only I could FIND one. Other than on ebay for double the retail price I mean.
