''Transformers'' Promo Campaign Helps Burger King Sales
By bwbm on Tuesday, August 28, 2007
Burger King's summer Big Kids Meal promotion in tandem with the "Transformers" movie helped fuel sales growth, says John Chidsey Chief Executive Officer of Burger King. The company reported its fourth-quarter profit as $36 million versus a loss of $10 million during the same time period as last year, which boosted the number 2 burger chain's full-year profit more than five-fold. Sales rose 11 percent to $590 million from $533 million a year ago.

It did? Really? Because I think they only actively promoted the movie for... what... 3wks around here before ripping it down for Homer & Co. Same with TRU. They had their TF banners up for maybe 6wks tops. Spiderman was up for 10wks, and V-Tech has been going 6wks strong. If you ask me, advertising-wise, TF got the shaft.

But remember...dealing with kids...once they know of something, there's not much need to keep advertising to them! They will cry and beg parents, constantly reminding them better than any commercial! ;)
