The screenwriters for "Transformers 2" have been pegged as "Transformers" veteran screenwriting duo Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, and newcoming Ehren Kruger, reports
ENewsI.
Originally reported by the
L.A. Times, this deal could potentially net up to $8 million for the trio. Mr. Kruger's possible involvement came
earlier this month, but today offered some clarity as to why he is now onboard.
Director Michael Bay wanted to keep the Mr. Orci and Mr. Kurtzman onboard, but due to their schedule with "Star Trek," did not commit to the writing of the sequel. Paramount Pictures and DreamWorks SKG proposed a third writer to help them with their duties.
Mr. Kruger was picked due to the favorable relationship the trio shared while working on the Mr. Orci and Mr. Kurtzman-produced film "Nightlife."
