(Earth) Megatron's face seems like it has too much going on with his face. I think it's his mouth how the "corners" go all the way down like a big frown.

No?

That's because the toy features "changing expressions".

You want inaccuracies? I'll see your "changing expressions" mouth (he does indeed have a talking feature which raises and lowers his jaw) and raise you an arm canon mounted on the wrong arm. All the pics I've seen so far (including the box art,) show his canon mounted on his left arm. While not a deal breaker by any means, it is rather annoying. Maybe a simple swap type mod will be able remedy this. Here's hoping.

I think the gun can clip to either arm.

Or the image is mirrored :tflook

And yes, Skywarp's an SDCC exclusive. Wasn't this revealed BEFORE BotCon?

The only SDCC exclusive mentioned so far (that I've seen) is Classics Nemesis Prime. :07redface

Well Pathfinder, you finally got your Classics/Universe Ironhide, and from the Hasbro panel it seems like it'll get the Ratchet repaint treatment. So no need to blow $300 on those garage kits :D

still... it's not dead on accurate like some of the other classic. Look at the Prowl one.. .they stayed pretty true to that one.

I'm still watching the garage kit one... although there hasn't been dick for progress lately.... looks like some stupid alligator thing has been started now

Key word; some. Classics aren't suppose to be 100% faithful reproductions of the original figures, they're modern interpretations based on the original figures, their cartoon appearance, and some modern interpretation. Characters like Starscream and Prowl, for example, had G1 toys that were as close as you could get to the cartoon appearance using the technology at the time.

Ironhide though, his cartoon appearance was totally different from his toy. So that really allows/forces the designer of his Classics/Universe toy to start from scratch. Rather then a faithful reproduction using modern tech, we get a completely modern interpretation on the character that still maintains everything that made the character unique visually.

No, he isn't a dead on G1 Ironhide figure, but that's for the best. Other then the '05 BotCon version, I have to say, this is your best bet. I wouldn't pass on it waiting on a third party.

... they had a lot more to work with on Prowl.

Ironhide had to be done from scratch, as his toy didn't even resemble his animation counterpart.

And yes, Skywarp's an SDCC exclusive. Wasn't this revealed BEFORE BotCon?
