Next Revoltech TFs: Soundwave & Grimlock?

When asked about any future Transformers characters in Kaiyodo's Revoltech line, our good friends at Organic Hobby hinted "SOUNDWAVE" and "GRIMROCK" (Grimlock) in a casual conversation at this past weekend's San Diego Comic-Con 2008.

Meh. I missed the Rodumus, Starscream offering b/c they just didnt get them in @ my hobby/comic store. They missed on Prime but DID get Megatron :roll. They have ALL the ones before and after the 2nd wave of TFs but never got the wave 2 in at all. :grr

Grimlock should be fun, meh on Soundwave.

Call me when they start making revoltech Galvatron.

I would agree that they're Very close... (I really like my Animated Grim, but his robo head showing in Dino mode is a major detraction)

Revoltech Soundwave could be awesome (with cassettes) - PLUS: He's a boxy enough character design (& simple enough mode switch) to easily work in a Transformation scheme... Whether Kaiodo or the fans actually manage this; the potential should be there.

Yeah, aside from the hidden fists that G1 Grimlock has, he and Animated Grimlock have the same transformation.

I'm tired of people saying that Animated Grimlock transforms the same as G1 because it's simply not true. Perhaps they should say "It transforms somewhat similarly to G1."

And back again.

Chimming in late so here's my 2cents.

If they're G1, I'm in, I've enjoyed these figures so far.

If they're Animated, pass as I don't realy like the Animated style.

If they're Energon/Cybertron someones gotta die.

I know, but the fact he transforms the same as G1 Grimlock and looks so similar is good enough for me. Which I should have mentioned. As far as I'm concerned, these releases are unnecessary for me. Other people might want them. Especially since Classics Grimlock sucked ginormous Tyrannosaurus wangbone.

... Bob Saget, I hope Hasbro brings over an electronic-less ML Soundwave. They won't, of course, but it would be amazing if they did.

Animated Grimlock is not a suitable update of G1 Grimlock. It is a nice toy but the design belongs to Animated.
