Artist Andrew Griffith Returns To Transformers In IDW's Optimus Prime #12
RAC - Thursday, August 10, 2017

This week's installment of the TransMissions Podcast had a pair of very special guests: first, Radio Free Cybertron's own "Headmaster Don" Ferguson, but also IDW artist Andrew Griffith, who announced that he'll be filling in for the art on Optimus Prime #12! Keep reading for what we know.
Optimus Prime is John Barber's current TF book, and as such is the successor to Robots In Disguise/The Transformers, which Griffith handled most of the art for. He's filling in for regular artist Kei Zama.

With Optimus Prime trapped on Cybertron, the Autobots track down their missing friend, Jazz-and find themselves under fire from humans armed with Cybertronian weapons.

Bullet points:
* While First Strike blows up Cybertron, the Autobots must keep the peace on Earth!

While PreviewsWorld credits Kei Zama with both the art and cover art, the cover shown is signed by Casey Coller.

Optimus Prime #12 is scheduled to hit comics stores on October 18th.

From the Facebooks of HK-TF members Waishing Leung, ChaRles Ng, Ting Yan Kwok, and Fido Li, we've got images of most if not all of Power of the Primes! Among the highlights are new looks at Optimus and Rodimus Prime as well as Grimlock confronting a horde of Titans Return Legends-class Gnaws. And also, Optimus Prime embraces his movie self (and the Prime Master/Titan Master/Matrix/Enigma cross-compatibility) and carries the Matrix of Faces. Keep reading to see the images, mirrored here for your convenience!
This week on Radio Free Cybertron: Firsthand thoughts on every Power of the Primes figure out so far! Street Fighter X Transformers may be the single greatest Transformers idea ever. Mattel rebuffs Hasbro, so I guess we're not getting a Transformers Battle Cat anytime soon. We share our thoughts on Titans Return Episode 3! Plus: new photos of Masterpiece Dinobot, MP39 Sunstreaker, Voyager Class Power of the Primes Starscream, Perfect Beast Mega Doragon, and way, way more!

An unsourced anonymous image board post has provided something a bit interesting to look at: Power of The Primes Rodimus Prime broken down to its individual units showing a new perspective of how the full Leader Class toy comes together. As shown we can see the Hot Rod robot, plus the transformed state of the trailer that forms most of the Rodimus body, along with the Rodimus arms, which detach between forms. Of note which may not have been clear before, the Matrix chamber is located within the Rodimus Prime specific body portions rather than as part of Hot Rod directly. Keep reading to see the photo.
