Prime
Two new Transformers Comic Collections have been listed on Amazon. The books "Transformers: Prelude" and "Transformers Prime: Beast Hunters Volume 1" are listed to be shipping on August 20th and 27th of 2013. Check out the summary and more details for each of the titles below.
Fall of Cybertron
IDW Limited announced its plan today to offer a deluxe limited edition of TRANSFORMERS: Art of the Fall of Cybertron. Based on the TRANSFORMERS brand from Hasbro, the book is a collection of the art and set descriptions for the smash-hit videogame of the same name, produced by High Moon Studios and published by Activision. The limited-edition book will be offered in a special IDW Red Label edition complete with slipcase, new cover and a portfolio of 10 limited-edition lithographs. Read more below.
Fall of Cybertron
IDW Publishing have sent out a press release about a a new division producing high-end, collectible editions of their wide catalog of books for loyal and committed fans that feature unique elements like original sketches and creator signatures on luxuriously designed packaging not available anywhere else. The group are offering Transformers Sketch covers and a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles set now, but will be offering books such as the Transformers: Art of the Fall of Cybertron Deluxe Limited Edition soon.
Prime
Amazon have listed a new childrens book from the Transformers Prime series. "Optimus Prime and the Secret Mission" by Ray Santos who also was the writer for "Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen: When Robots Attack!" According to the summary and details, at 24 pages. The book is aimed at young children. Readers will find a story that follows an attempt by MECH to obtain secret technology what Optimus Prime is in possession of. Things get even more complicated when the Decepticon's get in on the action with thier own plans on Optimus Primes' cargo.
Fall of Cybertron
Amazon.com has posted a pre-order pages for the forth coming book that will feature the art from Activision's Transformers: Fall of Cybertron game. The 200 page book will be authored by Mark W Bellomo who is the pen behind the Transformers Field guide. He is working with IDW Publishing to bring us this hardcover that listed at priced at $39.99 MSPR / $28.40 with Amazon discount to be released on October 2, 2012. United
Million Publishing continues with their fine line of Transformers literature that documents the product time line in their fabulous Generations series of book. The Generations 2012 Volume 01 has been announced once again with a special mail-away exclusive action figure. This time fans can get an Artfire homage that is a repaint of the Universe Inferno voyager class figure. USA fans can get a piece of one of the rarest G1 figures around in this special Generations exclusive from BBTS who have opened pre-orders for the figure that will ship the 3rd quarter of 2012. Generation 1
Transformers: Exiles is out in stores today! The second book by author Alex Irvine continues where Transformers: Exodus leaves off. This one goes deep into the core of the rivalry between the factions. Unveiling the origins of the conflict between the Autobots and the Decepticons. The book explores the explosive events that unfolded before Optimus and Megatron arrived on Earth. Could this be the story we have all been waiting for? We will be reading this book with much hopes for More than Meets the Eye.
Generation 1
A new series of Transformers children's books will launch starting with the Switching Gears in October from Ryder Windham. The book is a brand-new series and "Secrets are uncovered in the Nevada desert when a boy witnesses two Transformers arrive on Earth." Mr. Windham is a veteran of children's books for the Star Wars and Indiana Jones franchise. No further information is available at this point, but the book is set for and October 31st and will span 224 pages. It is currently available for pre-order at Amazon.com.
Generation 1 Japan
Some new details about the Generations 2011 Volume 2 book have been released. We get some new looks at the book covers as well as some more information about the details. The book is said to include Interviews, review of the MP-10 Convoy, as well as coverage of Fortress Maximus, Unicon, Headmasters. Articles from various designers will be included as well as interviews with Toei producer, Tatsuya Yoshida and Mr. Masa Saito on their work creating Transformers toys. Amazon Japan has this listed for sale as July 27, 2011 at 2,625 JPY / $35 USD.
Generation 1 Japan
Million Publishing updates are in with new details about the Transformers Generations Vol. 2 book. The update reveals the book will focus on Transformers Dark Side of the Moon with added images and details about the series toys. They will also be offering a spotlight on the Generation 1 Headmasters in this volume. Lastly, there will be a characters profile section with information on robots from the Transformers Universe. Look for Transformers Generations Volume 2 to be out in Japan July 28, 2011 for a retail price of 2625 yen.
Movies Japan
"Transformers: Darkside Moon" anniversary limited theatrical book release has been announced. Working with the past two movies, the Ultimate guide documents "Transformers" and the characters that appeared in the Transformers world and history, based on the valuable introduction by comic movie toys. The book will include Promotional cards (for trading card game, and drawn by a special limited edition) Tech & memory card (card game special edition free play and store PC).
Movies
The Transformers Dark of the Moon by Peter David is not out yet, but Comic Book Movie got an advanced copy and provided a spoiler-full review of the book. The review provides a very quick overview of the movie and provides some spoilers and plot-twists to go along with it. If you really want to be spoiled even further than you already have, then be sure to head over to Comic Book Movie. The Transformers Vault book has been billed as the book that "reveals the complete story of the Transformers, everyone's favorite robots in disguise." A video by publisher Abrams Books is providing a minute overview of the book is out just in time for you to decide whether or not you should buy the book from your favorite local bookstore or online retailer. Based on this preview, this book is looking quite impressive. The book is by Pablo Hidalgo with a Foreword by Peter Cullen with a price of $35.00. Million Hero have posted an image and news update on the next Transformers Generations 2011 book that will be published. The news reveals the book will include a copy of the Transformers United comic book written by Simon Furman with artwork by Guido Guidi. The news post also reveals the book will cover the Transformers Animated, Transformers United, Transformers Revenge of Fallen, Transformers Dark of The Moon series, Kabaya candy toys, the Transformers Hall of Fame and much more.
Movies
Amazon has updated the product page for the Transformers Dark of the Moon novel by Peter David to add the book description, which reveals a little about what we should expect in the film when it hits theaters July 1, 2011. "All humankind was watching that fateful day in 1969. But only a handful knew the real mission behind Americas triumph in space," the description starts out. "Now the treacherous Decepticons have set their sights on unearthing government secrets. The only hope of averting a crisis rests on the Autobotsyet who knows what remains in the shadows, hidden from man and machine?" The book hits book shelves near you on May 24, 2011.
Generation 1
Looks like there's an officially licensed by Hasbro book coming our way. Transformers Vault: The Complete Transformers Universe reveals, for the first time ever, a comprehensive history of the Transformers. Written by Pablo Hidalgo with a foreword by Peter Cullen. This book will be released May 20, 2011 for about $35 MSRP, Amazon has it for $18.80 right now. Check out more details about the book after the jump.
Movies
Amazon, the online seller of pretty much everything, has posted some information about the TransformersvDark of the Moon: A Novel, the adaptation of the film of the same name coming out this summer. The book is written by Peter David, as he announced back in December of 2010, only to announce a short time afterwards that it is complete. The book will hit book stores on May 24, 2011 and will be 400 pages long, according to the Amazon product listing. Published by Del Rey, the book be sold for $7.99 on the website. It does not seem like the book will have an eBook variant.
