If you're in the LA area on Saturday, March 7th, you may want to see about getting tickets to The Transformers: The Movie
! The Egyptian Theatre will be showing the 1986 film in a double-feature with GI Joe: The Movie from the following year. Also in attendance will be crew members from both films, including TF:TM's story consultant Flint Dille. But perhaps most interestingly, while the GI Joe movie will be shown from a Blu-Ray source, Transformers

TFExpo returns for a fifth year! The 2015 show will be held August 14th and 15th at the Holiday Inn here in Wichita Kansas. This year's show celebrates the Transformers robots AND all action figures and 80's toylines. BotCon 2015 has announced the theme of its convention-exclusive figures: Cybertron's Most Wanted! The teaser image promises "The Thief. The Muscle. The Loose Cannon. The Bounty Hunter. The Boss." And if we don't get a Transformer that becomes the A-Team van, I'll be extremely disappointed. Sacramento's anime convention, SacAnime, is welcoming Peter Cullen next weekend! The con runs from January 2nd to 4th, 2015 at the Sacramento Convention Center. The voice of G1, movie, video game, Prime, Rescue Bots, and Robots In DIsguise 2015 Optimus Primes, Mr. Cullen will be on hand as both a panelist and signer of autographs. Transformers G1 and Regeneration One penciler Andrew Wildman has organized a massive group of G1 and RG1 talents to sign copies of the final issue of that run in order to benefit G1 plotter and Rocket Raccoon creator Bill Mantlo. Mantlo has required constant care since a devastating car accident in the 90s, and freelancers like comics pros have no health care. Dairycon 2015 marks the 15th anniversary of the show, and will be held on March 28th of 2015 at the Retlaw Plaza in Fond du Lac, WI. Pre-registration is now available, but to mark the occasion they're going to be allowing walk-in traffic for the first time! Andrew Wildman has organized a very special series of charity auctions to benefit creator Bill Mantlo. Mantlo - who plotted the first two issues of Marvel's Transformers comic and co-created Guardians of the Galaxy
's Rocket Raccoon - has required constant care since a hit-and-run accident in 1992. To help with this, Wildman has collected the signatures of a dozen different Transformers creators on 30 thrilling copies of ReGeneration One #100. Held this weekend at the AEONMALL Makuhari New City Toyosuna, Mihama-ku, Chiba City Chiba Prefecture in Japan. We get a look at a large display featuring Transformers 4 Age of Extinction movie characters along with numerous toys, large Optimus Prime statues from various series, movie Bumblebee statue and Chevy Camaro vehicle, games and more. While that sounds like it could be really neat, the reality is that spending 3000 Yen at one of those stores on one of those days will net you one of six reissues of previous promotional figures. FunPub has announced that BotCon 2015 will be happening in Chicago just as TFCon Chicago is getting started. Crazy, huh? The con will be held between June 18th and 21st at the Pheasant Run Resort in Chicago/St. Charles, Illinois. More info as it becomes available!
Hasbro held their quarterly earnings call where they reporting positive sales accross the board with the big push from the summer's Transformers: Age of Extinction movie success and support from other properties focused on Marvel and My Little Pony. Hasbro also used this event to announce the new relationships they have with Discovery after the demise of The Hub network and have announced their new division Allspark Pictures that will focus on the production their top brands for of Movies and Television.
Weibo user ZEUX1S has posted an image of MP-20 Wheeljack demonstrating the removeable helmet and the face
underneath. Like the deeply disturbing facial details on MP-1 Optimus Prime, this is a neat little easter egg that apparently has no real purpose except being a nifty surprise and an impressive attention to detail. Keep reading to see the images!
Marc T. Nobleman reports that G1 Voice Actor Buster Jones has passed away on September 15th at the age of 71. The cause is currently unknown. Jones was the voice of Blaster, as well as appearing as the 2006 chief of the New York PD in season 3. Among his other notable roles is that of Black Vulcan on the Super Friends
cartoon. An excerpt from Nobleman's obituary of Jones follows after the cut.
