Reports are coming in that comics legend Len Wein - creator of Wolverine and Swamp Thing, writer of the "All New, All-Different" X-Men team, and editor of Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons' Watchmen - has passed away at the age of 69. While he is perhaps rightly best known for those accomplishments, Wein was also a screenwriter who worked on no less than four different Transformers series: G1, Beast Wars, Beast Machines, and most recently the current series, Robots In Disguise. Our condolences go out to Mr. Wein's friends and family.

It seems coming to the Platinum line in the near future to observe the Year of The Monkey will be a red and blue recolor of Beast Machines/RID 2001 Air Attack Optimus Primal. For now we have only very low resolution shots of this figure, but more will probably come fairly soon. Seibertron has posted galleries of the upcoming Subscription Service figures Thrustinator and Rewind. Read on for some sample images and a link to the full galleries!

We have a number of new images of the soon to be released Tankor figure, based heavily on the show CGI model of the character from Beast Wars. To see all the photos of the figure in both modes, keep reading!
