Jay over at TNI has posted a new video review and images for the Transformers Masterpiece MP-27 Ironhide figure that is shipping out to fans now. MP-27 MASTERPIECE IRONHIDE - The long awaited Masterpiece version of Ironhide has arrived! He is from a new mold and transforms into a licensed Nissan Cherry Vanette. This Voyager Class figure is in scale with the rest of the series, slightly larger than all the cars but still able to fit within the Masterpiece Prime trailer. Ironhide comes with a bunch of accessories and gadgets including a battle sled for accessory storage. We have him with or without collector coin. $89.99 - $99.99




NEW TAKARA TRANSFORMERS Transformers Unite Warriors UW-07 Bruticus is a combiner consisting of five transforming figures: Blast-off, Onslaught, Swindle, Brawl and Vortex, and he is listed for $134.99! We have also listed eleven new single and multi-pack items in the Transformers Adventure lineup!




Prime 1 Studio have dropped a teaser for their next Transformers G1 release. Those with a keen eye will notice classic G1 design is almost surely that of the Autobot Leader Optimus prime. This is reported to be another awesome design by Josh Nizzi that will be somewhat smaller than usual at about 23 inches, including the base. Imaginarium Art has posted a pair of images to their Facebook page of an in-development statue of Devastator attacking Autobot City - and now they're asking for you to decide what goes into it next. Should Arcee or Ultra Magnus be at Kup's side to witness the destruction? Keep reading for a Facebook link so you can give your input!




NEW THIRD PARTY FIGURES - TFC introduces a new combiner figure named Poseidon. The first and second figures to be released in the group are Manta Ray Mentarazor and Cyberjaw and they are listed for $99.99 each. Master Made SDT-03 Apollo stands over 8 inches tall and transforms into a command center for $134.99; and Shuraking Blade stands over 10 inches tall in robot mode and transforms into a Pterodactyl. Blade is listed for $114.99




Currently in Japan, Comic Market (Comiket) 89 has just wrapped up. Among the many fan produced items for all sorts of properties being sold at the event was a Transformers artbook, called More Than Just A Geek Spark. Masabon1980 obtained a copy of this book and has shared many images from it on his Photobucket account. We've mirrored a few lower resolution copies of the images, but there's lots more to see, so keep reading for the previews and a link back to the originals, plus some info about a few of the artists represented in this book!

Following the Soundwave statue. Imaginarium Art reveal more statues that will be coming to their Transformers G1 line of statues in 2016. The next one will be none other than Rodimus Prime featuring detailed sculpt and alternate action poses with movable weapons and limbs, like the Soundwave statue. Additionally, we have news that Imaginarium Art will be offering Megatron, Ultra Magnus, Shockwave and everyone's favorite, King Grimlock! A popular Transformers Video Game has been a long time coming, so long that many felt it was not possible. Even Kenji Saito, the director on the Transformers: Devastation game from Activision that was released Fall 2015. Depending on who you ask, the game has hits and misses as far as game play and design go. But few can deny, this has been the most fulfilling Transformers game experience so far. Part of that credit goes to Saito, who shares some of the challenges and how he approached Transformers: Devastation design in recent interview with Gamespot.

Marvel Comics artist Don Perlin, responsible for more than twenty issues of the original Transformers comic, is recovering from an operation to correct bleeding in his head - an operation which necessitated the installation of a titanium plate. While Perlin recuperates from the operations, he is plagued by the lack of retirement funds or healthcare plan faced by all our comic creators, who were treated as freelancers. Writer Clifford Meth has established a GoFundMe page to help correct this - read on if you'd like to donate!




Optimus Prime is dead. Earth is dead. Megatron reigns over Cybertron with the help of Cobra. But not unopposed! GI Joe and the Autobots live... for now. Becuase you can never have enough Soundwave and friends in battle, Imaginarium Art will be releasing a new statue featuring the Decepticon and his tape-bots at the ready to take on the Autobots.! This highly detailed sculpture is quite attractive with exquisite detailing and an amazing paint scheme that is all the more impressive with a set of alternate hands and the ability to change angles of the weapons for a super action-pose mode.
