Thanks to Weibo member transformers we have news and an image giving us a first look at a new Optimus Prime project from Ori Toy. The shot shows what appears to be some kind of bust of the Autobot Leader. Juding from the name, it could a die-cast-like version of Prime's torso detailing and all the drool worth goodness that goes with. Check out the image till we know more.

The WIP Department Facebook page has posted an extensive gallery from Toy Soul 2014! Among the new things on the page is one heretofore unknown Transformers product from Kids Logic: an SD G1 Devastator! We'll have more info on that as it becomes available, but for now keep reading to see it- and check out WIP Department's page for a LOT of non-Transformers stuff from Toy Soul!

This is a Transformers concept by Andrew Mercer who started working on this concept back in 2011. Knowing that 2014 was the 30th anniversary year, he thought this line would be a cool way to celebrate the rich history of the brand. Figures that could reformat between different Generations in the same way they could Transform from robot to vehicle. Transformat = Reformat + Transform.

User Chobedear has posted photos of the packaging for Year of The Goat Optimus prime, the gold and colorless-clear plastic edition of G2 Laser Prime. Chobedear is also the original source for the Platinum Insecticon set, and has provided some new information. These are both available in Singapore right now, with the Insecticons running the equivalent of about US$100 and Optimus is $155. Let's hope when these eventually reach a retailer in the US, it's at a much lower price! Keep reading to see the new pictures.

Via an anonymous source, we have packaged photos of a Platinum Series three pack of the G1 Insecticons. These toys were reissued several years ago exclusively at Toys R Us - largely featuring replacement names due to trademarking issues, something this set corrects. We have no information on pricing or intended time of release, however there's a cross-sell on the box that shows the "Seeker Squadron" of Thrust, Dirge and Ramjet. Click through for the photos, and keep watch for future updates on these sets!

These days, invariably, you will find good condition factory sealed vintage Generation 1 Transformers preserved, immortalized, imprisoned, desecrated (delete as appropriate) in an acrylic display case, with a grade attached. The AFA – or Action Figure Authority – grade toys like Transformers be they factory sealed, opened and unused or even loose.

Planet Iacon has posted images of the next assortment of Kids Logic's 9cm SD minifigures! Largely the assortment is recolors of existing molds - Skywarp, Thundercracker, Soundblaster, and Ultra Magnus are recolors of Starscream, Soundwave, and Optimus Prime. But we also add the Insecticon Kickback to the mix! Keep reading to see the photos! UPDATE! These figures will be available at Toy Soul 2014, a Hong Kong toy convention happening this weekend. Gothamist reports that Transformers Generation One will be taken out of circulation on Netflix on January 1st 2015. If you've yet to (re)watch the series and have a Netflix subscription, you've got two weeks to get some friends together and catch it while you can! GI Joe is also on the chopping block, so consider setting aside some time to recreate your weekday afternoons before the turn of the year. Keep reading for the full list of shows and films leaving Netflix next year!

It's that time of year again, time to donate to Toys For Tots. If you are going out shopping between now and Christmas, we are asking all of our readers to take the opportunity to pick up at least one unwrapped toy and drop it off at a local Toys For Tots drop-off location. It can really make a difference in helping those less fortunate.

As we reported on before, Transformers G1 and Regeneration One penciler Andrew Wildman has organized a massive group of G1 and RG1 talents to sign copies of the final issue of that run in order to benefit G1 plotter and Rocket Raccoon creator Bill Mantlo. Mantlo has required constant care since a devastating car accident in the 90s, and freelancers like comics pros have no health care. The second round of comics is up on eBay now - keep reading to get a link, help a comics pro and fellow human being, and get a very limited comic for yourself!

The Kids Logic Facebook page has posted images of a Toy Soul exclusive version of their SD Megatron figure, now in shiny gold chrome! Still included are the extra parts: the extra face, the hands, the energy mace, and the fusion cannonless forearm. It'll be available at the Toy Soul show in Hong Kong on December 19th-21st, but for now you can keep reading to see the shiny little tyrant!

It's a big day for the MegaDrive Megatron mold. Hot on the heels of a lucky draw campaign announcement, the TakaraTomy ARTS website has listed a special version, limited to 1000 pieces that redresses Megatron as a Sega Genesis. Changing red robot detail for purple and adding Genesis stamps and US-version Sonic cartridge labeling, it's a minor but distinct change. Keep reading for availability information and pictures!
