It was launch day for Transformers Devastation today, and among the many who purchased the game were Radio Free Cybertron's Brian Kilby and diecast. They decided to share some of their first day's play through on RFC's Youtube channel, giving you a chance to look at how the game actually handles. Kilby is playing on PC and takes a while to stop being devastated, while diecast is on PS4 with a solid ~45 minute session to watch. We've got all the videos embedded, so click through and take a look!

Activision Publishing, Inc. today released TRANSFORMERS: Devastation. This new third-person action-brawler rolls into battle with Hasbro’s classic Generations designs. The game’s gripping single-player campaign features 50 highly challenging bonus missions with any of five playable heroes! OPTIMUS PRIME, BUMBLEBEE, SIDESWIPE, WHEELJACK and GRIMLOCK. Each of these characters can be evolved with new abilities, unique talents and more than 150 upgradeable weapons.

Machinima has posted a pair of videos today for Transformers Devastation, just hours away from retail availability. Both videos focus on Optimus Prime, and the voice clips do a good job showing the Peter Cullen still has the more fun, energetic cartoon Optimus Prime inside him. One video highlights battle between Optimus and Megatron, while the second is a more general overview of Optimus through the game. We have both of them embedded, plus plenty of screencaps, so click through to check it out!

With little time remaining before the game is released across the various platforms, the Transformers Game Facebook is cranking out the promo materials. Most recently we've gotten some concept art for the Decepticon generic ground troops, collectively the Battlechargers - one type based on the Generations Wheeljack body (like the Collectors Club exclusives) and another being a simplified version of Blitzwing. We also have nice art of Shockwave in robot and gun modes. Click through and check it all out!

Yesterday's spotlight on Grimlock wasn't the end of coverage for the Dinobot commander, today the Transformers Game Facebook page has their own regular gameplay demo video posted, showing some stages and attacks not present in the "cinematic trailer" yesterday. We have screenshots and an embed for that, plus a collection of several lineart pieces for Soundwave, the cassettes, and Megatron's tank mode. Keep reading to see it all!

With less than a week before the game is released, the Transformers Game Facebook is still hyping it up with teaser content. They've just posted the bio for Grimlock going over the basic personality and moves available in game. And along with that, Gamestop's Youtube channel has posted a "cinematic trailer" spotlighting Grimlock, with lots of samples of Gregg Berger's voicework for the character. As usual you can click through for the video embed and screencaps, plus the bio sheet!

With Transformers: Devastation a week from release, the website GamesRadar has invited More Than Meets The Eye writer James Roberts to talk about Transformers (and presumably gaming) on their show I Got Next!. The show will go live today at 3:30PM EST - keep reading for more details!

As expected, Transformers Game on Facebook has posted a video showing off the moves you can expect to face down in the Soundwave boss battle. Among Soundwave's array of attacks is calling upon Ravage and Laserbeak to help out, though Ravage doesn't show very prominently in this video. The video also highlights rather well the incomplete voice filtering, as despite being vocoded, Soundwave comes across rather soft and smooth. Not exactly fitting to what the cartoon taught us to expect. We of course have a number of screencaps, plus the embedded video, so keep reading!

Today the Transformers Game Facebook page has posted a quick profile for Soundwave, highlighting the character's classic abilities and the kinds of moves he'll perform in the game. As usual, this should also mean a video showing off Soundwave in action very soon also. Plus we have a small extra in the form of lineart for the Seeker body used in the game, in this case seemingly based on Ramjet. Keep reading to check out both!

IGN has posted a new video featuing footage and developer interviews for Transformers: Devastation! Revealed in this video is the "Challenge Mission" mode, which features over 50 self-contained missions to play above and beyond the story mode. For details on that as well as the game's five difficulty levels and more, click through to watch the video!

The Transformers Game Facebook has uploaded a new video featuring Starscream. So far looking like one of the tougher opponents, Starscream is seen breaking through shields and using super moves on both Optimus and Bumblebee in a combat style that seems to more favor the robot mode than flying jet attacks. As usual, we have the video embedded, plus a few screencaps, so keep reading to check it out!

The Transformers Game Facebook page has posted the character bio for Starscream, as seen in Transformers: Devastation! As with the other boss bios, this one gives you a hint as to what kind of attacks and patterns to expect when you face off against Starscream in Devastation, due out October 6th. Keep reading to see it!

The Transformers Game Facebook page has updated again, sharing a set of linework for Blitzwing, who was focused on last week with a bio and video showing off the character's attacks that players would face in the upcoming game. These piece of art show the basis for Blitzwing's appearance in the game, holding very true to the cartoon origins that guide a lot of what the game's visual style is about. Click through to check out all three images.

The Transformers Game Facebook has updated today with a video focusing on Blitzwing. The non-playable enemy character gets a good highlight, showing off attack patterns based on his triplechanger nature, giving Blitzwing a reasonably varied range of moves to use against the player. Brief snippests of character audio are also present, though there seems little to discern from them right now. Click through for the embedded video, and some screencaps!

The Transformers Game Facebook page has posted a new profile for Blitzwing highlighting the character's combat style, and giving a little bit about the personality. But of course as Blitzwing is not a playable character in the game, the information is not as specific or detailed as some of the early bios. But on that note, Activision's Youtube channel has uploaded a 2 minute video highlighting the playable characters which looks like it's cutting together bits and pieces from some of the previously released videos. Click through to check out out both!
