Rovio has published a pair of new videos to support the upcoming Angry Birds Transformers. One is a nifty little retro-style animated video done more or less in the style of the original G1 animated opening. The second is a look at the music of the game, composed by none other than Vince DiCola
of 1986's The Transformers: The Movie!

Autobase Aichi has posted links to two Amazon Japan product listings, both to be released on the 17th of September. The Song Masterpiece boxset is 4 CDs worth of (Japanese) Transformers related music. The Music Matrix 30th DVD isn't detailed, but we're going to suggest that it may be a selection of opening songs to Japanese Transformers series complete with the original animation. Also, this Sunday (Dec 15) we'll be releasing a music video of "The Touch - Power Mix" from "Transformers: Fall of Cybertron" game. The video contains footage from the game. Vince DiCola has made it official on his Twitter page @DiColaOfficial that his 1986 Soundtrack to "The Transformers The Movie" will finally been seeing a mass market release. The albums will be released by Intrada/Sony offering fans a chance to hear the whole collection in all its glory. There is no release date yet, but Vince says he will keep us posted on his Twitter page soon as he knows it. See this comments from Vince DiCola himself below.
Stan Bush just dropped us a note to let us know he will be performing live this opening for none other than 80s rock Icons Styx, REO, Ted Nugent this Sunday, May 6th at the Greek Theater in L.A. California. He will be doing a 20 minute solo acoustic performance to open the evening. We want to congratulate Stan on the awesome show and let fans in Los Angeles to check out the show.

These instruments are made of high quality wood that feature the Autobot Insignia for the sound board body. Here is another awesome slice of AOR from the 1980s. Many know Vince DiCola and Stan Bush from there work on the Transformers movie and cartoons where Vince worked on the theme and incidental music. Stan is well know for his songs like 'Touch' and 'Dare'. But here's a rare track that features both of them together. This cut was taken from the great AOR compilation 'AOR Treasures - Demo Projekt Vol.2'. It was recorded in or around 1985 so just after The Movie. (EE) reveals they will be offering the Transformers Masterpiece Grimlock action figure for sale at the 2010 San Diego Comic Con later this month. The figure is listed as a Toys R' Us exclusive that will on sale at the EE booth for $70 USD.
Just a reminder that Stan Bush's rock anthem "The Touch" from the original Transformers Movie, will be featured TONIGHT, Sunday March 28th, on American Dad showing on FOX. "The Touch" has also recently been released for Guitar Hero WT, featured on NBC's Geek Spy sitcom Chuck, in the movie Boogie Nights, and in two of Hasbro's Transformers toys.
