If you're in the LA area on Saturday, March 7th, you may want to see about getting tickets to The Transformers: The Movie
! The Egyptian Theatre will be showing the 1986 film in a double-feature with GI Joe: The Movie from the following year. Also in attendance will be crew members from both films, including TF:TM's story consultant Flint Dille. But perhaps most interestingly, while the GI Joe movie will be shown from a Blu-Ray source, Transformers

Sacramento's anime convention, SacAnime, is welcoming Peter Cullen next weekend! The con runs from January 2nd to 4th, 2015 at the Sacramento Convention Center. The voice of G1, movie, video game, Prime, Rescue Bots, and Robots In DIsguise 2015 Optimus Primes, Mr. Cullen will be on hand as both a panelist and signer of autographs. Andrew Wildman has organized a very special series of charity auctions to benefit creator Bill Mantlo. Mantlo - who plotted the first two issues of Marvel's Transformers comic and co-created Guardians of the Galaxy
's Rocket Raccoon - has required constant care since a hit-and-run accident in 1992. To help with this, Wildman has collected the signatures of a dozen different Transformers creators on 30 thrilling copies of ReGeneration One #100. Marc T. Nobleman reports that G1 Voice Actor Buster Jones has passed away on September 15th at the age of 71. The cause is currently unknown. Jones was the voice of Blaster, as well as appearing as the 2006 chief of the New York PD in season 3. Among his other notable roles is that of Black Vulcan on the Super Friends
cartoon. An excerpt from Nobleman's obituary of Jones follows after the cut.

Drawn from an open nomination process as voted upon by the readers of TRANSFORMERS fan sites, the five beloved TRANSFORMERS characters who garnered the most votes are now online at facebook
for an open vote. The two characters who receive the most votes by 12:00 pm on June 18th will become the 2014 class for the TRANSFORMERS Hall of Fame!
In 2010, Hasbro founded its TRANSFORMERS Hall of Fame, honoring humans and robots that have left an everlasting mark on the world of toys, entertainment and CYBERTRON during the past 30 years of “ROBOTS IN DISGUISE” action. Now, to celebrate its milestone 30th anniversary, Hasbro is once again turning to fans to help select two Fans’ Choice robots that will be inducted into the Transformers Hall of Fame Class of 2014!

As part of their trip to NYC for Toy Fair, The Loyal Subjects will present an Optimus Prime Art Show at Toy Tokyo on Saturday (2.15). The exhibition will feature artist interpretations of Optimus Prime, which each artist customizing an 8” Optimus Prime DIY figure and an original piece of art (painting, illustration, sculpture, etc.).
