Generation 1 Japan Rumors

So, waaay back when one of the more credible rumor lists was making the rounds, there were a couple of Titan Masters on the list that have not yet come to fruition: Trizer and Optimus Prime. Well, it seems that the latter was a typo or miscommunication, as Amazon Germany just posted listings for Titan Master Toraizer and Optimus Primal! No photos, but odds seem very, very good that as with e-Hobby Convobat, this set will involve a combination of Sentinel Prime's Infinitus Titan Master and the Apeface Transtector. Keep reading for links to the listings!

There's been speculation going around for a while now on what exactly Legends Fortress Maximus' light and sound features would include. Many of us hoped for at least the "HEAD ON!" catchphrase used in the The Headmasters anime. Now, website Anime-Export has gone a step beyond that, claiming original actor Ikuya Sawaki will be recording new lines for the figure. Keep reading for the listing!

Maz of TFSquareOne has posted photos sent to him of a test shot of MP-25 Tracks. This in and of itself isn't too noteworthy - except that it has a new head with an unproduced toy-style faceplate! What does it mean? Is this toy of the unproduced past or the yet to be produced future? Well, Maz has a few ideas about that - keep reading for an excerpt from his post, photos, and a link to the full article!

While preorders for Masterpiece Exhaust have been cancelled previously, restricting the figure's release to Japan only, it now seems possible that MP-23 may be well and truly cancelled according to an email sent from a retailer to Radio Free Cybertron's diecast. Citing communication with Hasbro Asia, the retailer says that the official cancellation will be coming shortly. Whether that's a cancellation from Hasbro Asia only or if Takara has decided it's not worth the trouble to make Exhaust is unknown, but keep reading for the tweet, and for more details on the Exhaust situation.

Before Takara Tomy's Masterpiece MP-11 Starscream even hits retailers next month, the company has announced that they will repaint the mold as MP-11S Sunstorm. According to Malaysian retailer Toy Wizard, the company will release the figure towards the end of May 2012. In addition to this bit of news, Toy Wizard also reports that Takara Tomy has separately announced that Encore #23 as Sixshot. Keep reading for more.

Thanks to a post over at ACToys, we've got a glimpse of what could be a Star Saber action figure from a third party company. There is not much to go on but the name, "DB2-01 ARMORED SABER" and an black and white image. The photo that has been purposely distorted, looks a hell of a lot like the Transformers: Victory Saber action figure. IF this is for real, let us hope this a full scale figure with both tar Saber and Victory Leo at a decent price.

Looks like Masterpiece Rodimus will be making its way around the planet. Good news for fans out side Japan, Member Omega Prime over at TFW has posted listings from the Toys R Us UK inventory system. The list includes the item "TF Masterpiece Rodimus - 309311" as well as mnay others going by such interested names as "Cyberverse," "Energo," and "Megaverse" Check out the listings and post your comments after the jump. Omega Prime clams that "Rodimus was listed as a global exclusive."

Caveat: Take this with a substantial spoonful of salt before getting your hopes up here. S250 has posted on his Twitter page speculating that the re-release of Unicron with a different head mold by TakaraTomy might be the third figure in Takara's Welcome to Transformers 2010 campaign. Read more.

Update: Turns out it was only a DIY! Sorry, folks! Unfuzzed image after the jump. So take this with extreme salt, but there could be a faint possibility that Takara-Tomy's upcoming Transformers Encore will be Devastator. The image, originally posted over at Chinese forums, is extremely blurry but looks at a box of a distinct Generation 1 Devaastator. Like we said before, take this speculation as just that. If we find out anything new, we'll sure to let you know.

Okay folks, Take a seat and grab hold of something because this one is a doozie. If the Mickey Prime Disney Label wasn't a big enough monstrosity, Tomy Takara has taken it up a notch or two with a Halloween edition toy. It's hard to believe, complete with spider-web, Jack-O-lantern and all for what we will call Pumpkin Prime. Could be BS, but rest your eyes on the promo that surfaced on the Asian image boards and live to tell about it.

A recently surfaced rumor suggests that TakaraTomy will follow up their Disney Label Mickey Mouse with Donald Duck. An image provided by "Samus_Ng" gives us a look at a possible solicitation preview and suggests that Donald will transform to resemble Bumblebee. This is similar to how Mickey resembled the color-scheme and Disney cartoon-ish version of Optimus Prime. Click through for more.

We first reported last summer this was coming and now it looks like the confirmation and announcement is very close. forums have posted a blacked out image of Grimlock supporting the news we heard last summer that there would be an MP Dinobot. Fans will rejoice if the MP-07 Grimlock is added to Takara Tomy's Masterpiece Collection. We've got more details we'll be revealing about this figure soon so be sure to keep checking back.

A rather interesting eBay auction item has surfaced detailing a red repaint of the recently released Sports Lable Nike Free 7.0 figure. The auction details that this figure is repaint into Starscream but the images only show the sneaker mode with no looks of the robot mode. The figure has a "Not For Sale" slapped on there under the Nike logo on the shoe. Take a look in the image gallery.

The latest blurb in Japan is there will be two more RevolTech Transformers non-transforming super poseable action figures by Kaiyodo expected to be released in 2007 following the Convoy figure at the end of this year. Speculation for characters ranges from anywhere to Megatron, Starscream, Soundwave to more Convoys (a repainted Convoy as Ultra Magnus anyone?). RevolTech figures uses Kaiyodo's innovative "Revolver Joint" system to perfom an array of action poses. A previous article about RevolTech Convoy may be viewed here. We will keep you updated as we receive more information at your non-stop 24/7 shop for the latest Transformers News!

We've gotten word that eHobby will be announcing a new Transformers exclusive next week. The item will be a limted release. Specifics on what the figure is and how many will be announced. Stay tuned for more updates!
